<< Background >>The project was initiated to address the critical lack of structured non-formal education tools for youth workers to engage young people in meaningful climate action. Many youth workers lack the knowledge and methodologies needed to integrate environmental sustainability into their activities effectively. Moreover, young people, particularly from marginalized backgrounds, face barriers in accessing quality environmental education and participation in climate initiatives. These gaps hinder their ability to understand climate challenges and take active roles in sustainability efforts.By developing innovative workshops, fostering transnational collaboration, and creating the https://ecoyouth.gr/ platform, the project aimed to fill these gaps. It empowered youth workers with the skills to lead impactful activities, increased young people's engagement in climate action, and supported Erasmus+ priorities of inclusion, environmental sustainability, and active citizenship.Needs:1. Lack of Climate Education Tools for Youth Workers2. Low Awareness and Engagement Among Young People3. These methods included interactive workshops, role-playing, and multimedia content creation.Second, the project aimed to increase environmental awareness and engagement among 250 young people, both from events, platform visiting, campaigns and forum, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to participate actively in climate action initiatives. The development of the https://ecoyouth.gr/ platform was another major goal, designed as a resource hub for youth workers and young people. It provided accessible, high-quality materials on climate action, including videos, guides, and activity templates. Finally, the project sought to foster collaboration between organizations, ensuring that the outcomes were sustainable and could inspire further Erasmus+ initiatives across Europe.
