EDUGREENABILITY - Education for Green Sustainability across Latin American and European Higher Education Institutions

Education for Green Sustainability across Latin American and European Higher Education Institutions seeks to enhance teaching, learning and curriculum for education in sustainability and green deal to promote a regional cultural change in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). We aim to tackle Latin American and European environmental challenges through the implementation of training courses for academics and managerial administrative staff oriented by experts in sustainability from the consortium HEIs and guest lecturers from government and private sectors; curriculum management for the integration of sustainability-oriented curricula and green sectoral skills strategies and assessment mechanisms in Latin American HEIs; and the delivery of green-deal related modules for students across disciplines embedding inclusive learning methodologies such as Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), and Virtual Mobility.The project tackles the main need of Latin American HEIs in terms of lack of curriculum development aligned to the Global Gateway priority of the LAC region in terms of sustainability and green transition, while sharing the values of human dignity of our society who face the challenge of living in harmony with nature, fighting against climate change and providing green deal education to students from diverse cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, who otherwise would not have opportunities for international education at home.The Edugreenability project activities and methodology aim to empower diverse actors from universities, the private sector, government and non-government organizations, their families, and the community, to change their mental constructs and motivate them to become actors who solve challenges, establish positive and supportive emotional and social connections, have a disposition for lifelong learning, respect the planet, cultural diversity and contribute to creating lifestyles for a more sustainable future world.
