Trenujemy aktywność - coaching społeczny jako metoda pracy z osobami niepełnosprawnymi

The project was directed to the environment of organizations and entities working with disabled people on a daily basis. He assumed the development and implementation of an innovative method based on social coaching, which will allow for more effective work with adult disabled people. In the international environment of 4 organizations profiled to help the disabled in expanding independence, which were project partners, work was undertaken to prepare a tool that would enable a better quality of life for these people.The aim of this project was to increase the independence and autonomy of people with disabilities with special emphasis on people with intellectual disabilities through the development and implementation of the method of individual social coaching. The recipients of the project were European organizations and institutions working for the wider education of adults with disabilities, staff working with people with disabilities and indirectly disabled people. 4 organizations from 4 countries participated directly in the project:Poland - Society for Supporting Social Initiatives Alpi - the organization focuses mainly on the implementation of educational, integration and social activities. From the beginning of its activity, TWIS ALPI works with adults with intellectual disabilities. In his activities, he places special emphasis on the social and professional activation of people with intellectual disabilities and support for their families. She also led an integration day club and a protected-training apartment for adults with intellectual disabilities.The Netherlands - Melius Zorg BV - an organization that provides care and medical assistance for various target groups and in different contexts: youth with psychosocial and mental disabilities, young mothers (including teenage mothers) and families with many problems.Italy - Associazione Uniamoci Onlus - a non-profit organization that works in the field of integration and social assistance for young people / adults with disabilities, supporting their full integration into society.Portugal - ASSOCIACAO INTERCULTURAL AMIGOS DAMOBILIDADE - the organization specializes in European internship programs under the European Erasmus + program. The association has a wide network of public and private organizations cooperating with it under the European Voluntary Service (EVS), Youth in Action programs, Grundtvig, Erasmus Plus, POWER. Mobility Friends engages in strategic projects that focus on development, introduce significant changes and the tone of which is European.The project implemented the following activities:1. Program and implementation teams were established, consisting of 4 people from each organization. The aim of their work was to create a program according to which people who want to help disabled people will work to increase their independence.2. An innovative work program was developed with people with intellectual disabilities based on the method of individual social coaching.3. The program was implemented (social coaches were trained, work was carried out with the pupils, a training program for the e-learning platform was implemented).4. The program was popularized - partner websites, project website, dissemination conference5. The project containing the conclusions and recommendations for the future was evaluated.The direct results of the project are:- developed work program with people with disabilities based on the method of social coaching;- an e-learning course developed and implemented for people who want to work with people with disabilities;- trained 12 people who in the organizations taking part in the project will act as social coaches;- organization of a dissemination conference in which 80 people took part.Indirectly, the results of the project affect the environment of organizations working with people with disabilities, because they gained the ability to prepare staff that could effectively work on the independence of adults with intellectual disabilities. The developed tool in the form of an e-learning course with unlimited access allows any person who wants to help disabled people to increase their knowledge and broaden their skills in this area.
