Together for Eco-friendly Life

"<< Background >>We applied for this project to address the growing need for ecological education and climate awareness among adults across Europe. Our societies are facing major environmental challenges, including air and water pollution, overconsumption, and climate change. These global threats require coordinated local actions supported by informed communities. Despite increasing attention given to climate issues, many adults still lack practical knowledge and tools to live in an environmentally conscious way. We recognized a gap in accessible, non-formal educational resources that would help communities adopt sustainable practices in their everyday lives. Moreover, we saw the potential for long-term change by empowering adult educators with content and methodologies that can be shared within local and national networks. The project also addressed the specific need for raising awareness on how environmental degradation impacts human health. We aimed to connect health education with ecological awareness to promote a new, holistic understanding of sustainability and well-being.<< Objectives >>Our main objective was to develop and implement practical educational tools that would raise environmental awareness and support adults in adopting eco-friendly lifestyles. We aimed to equip educators and community leaders with resources that are easy to use and can be widely shared. We also sought to create opportunities for dialogue, mutual learning, and the exchange of best practices between partner organizations from different EU countries. More specifically, we intended to deliver two key outputs: an educational script titled ""Together for Eco-friendly Life"" and an online platform to promote ecological behaviors and host digital content. Through international meetings, workshops, and a dissemination event, we aimed to build the capacity of participating organizations and increase the outreach of our message. Ultimately, we hoped to contribute to EU priorities on green transition and lifelong learning, while fostering stronger transnational cooperation among NGOs active in the field of adult education and ecology.<< Implementation >>The project included a range of international and local activities, carefully structured to promote learning, cooperation, and dissemination. We held three international project meetings in Germany, Poland, and Italy, during which we planned, monitored, and evaluated our actions. These meetings were essential for creating a common understanding among partners and ensuring consistent implementation. We developed and published an educational script for adult educators, covering topics such as water protection, waste management, ecological mobility, and climate resilience. This script was enriched through collaboration with experts and local community input. We also designed an interactive online platform and ran a social media campaign to engage a broader audience. Additionally, we organized a staff training session and a final dissemination event called ""Eco Day"", which brought together local stakeholders and participants from different countries. Throughout the project, we maintained regular online coordination meetings and shared progress through internal reports and external communication tools.<< Results >>The project resulted in two main intellectual outputs: the educational script “Together for Eco-friendly Life” and a dedicated online platform enriched with digital materials, tips, and resources. These tools have been distributed to educators, trainers, and community activists, enabling them to lead eco-education activities in their regions. The project also fostered new transnational partnerships and significantly improved the capacity of the participating organizations to deliver environmental education. Our final event, “Eco Day”, attracted a broad local and international audience, and served as a showcase for the project’s achievements. Moreover, the project had a lasting impact on staff members and beneficiaries, who developed both ecological and digital competences. We also succeeded in promoting inclusive learning by involving people at risk of social exclusion, such as low-skilled adults or those from rural areas. The outputs have been made available online and shared via Erasmus+ dissemination platforms, ensuring their long-term availability and usefulness."
