<< Background >>Addressing environmental, social, and economic issues holistically is key to contain global warming and ensure a sustainable future. Our project seeks to contribute to this effort by promoting personal and societal transformation and raising awareness of climate change and the importance of sustainability.Through our project, learners can acquire the knowledge, skills and values necessary to address interconnected global challenges, including climate change, biodiversity loss, unsustainable resource use, and inequality. By empowering learners to make informed decisions and take individual and collective action to care for the planet, our project represents a lifelong learning process and an integral part of quality education. The project aimed to disseminate knowledge and promote sustainable practices to a wider audience.Climate change and sustainability education were the main thematic focus of our project as well as the promotion of practical solutions in schools, such as composting and ecological means of cultivation in small vertical greenhouses created in each partner school. We aimed to raise students’ awareness of organic farming, healthy food and waste management. We also aimed to empower students to act as agents of change, raise their self confidence and develop their communication, social skills and cultural diversity while participating in international collaborative activities.
