<< Background >>We applied for the project in order to address the urgent need for contemporary education in continuing professional development. The rapid digital transformation and the increasing complexity of the world of work require innovative approaches that go beyond traditional teaching methods. The focus was on promoting future skills such as self-learning skills, solution-orientation and teamwork. By using alternative teaching and learning methods, we wanted to enable greater integration of self-organised learning processes (SOL) and agile working methods in educational contexts. The aim was to prepare educational stakeholders for the demands of the modern working world and to enable them to act in a flexible and solution-orientated manner. The project was aimed at teachers and learners alike and aimed to strengthen their competences for sustainable, innovative educational approaches in order to increase the attractiveness and effectiveness of vocational education and training in the long term.<< Objectives >>The project aimed to promote contemporary educational formats in vocational education and training and to sensitise teachers and specialists to innovative approaches. A central focus was on the transfer of modern working formats from industry, such as agile methods and self-organised learning (SOL), to educational contexts. This should not only enrich teaching and learning processes, but also increase the attractiveness and relevance of vocational training. Another aim was to develop a scalable peer learning format that offers skilled workers the opportunity to learn from each other and jointly develop solutions to the challenges of digital transformation. By combining practice-orientated approaches, intercultural exchange and new digital tools, the project aimed to promote skills development and create a sustainable basis for future educational innovations. In the long term, we aimed to make the results transferable and usable for other educational organisations.<< Implementation >>The project comprised a wide range of activities aimed at promoting contemporary educational formats and developing participants' skills. The roadmap served as a central steering tool, starting with a kick-off meeting that laid the foundation for the learning journey. In the subsequent self-learning phases, the participants worked independently on practical topics, which were accompanied by regular roadmap checks. These reflection rounds enabled the content and methods to be iteratively adapted.Peer learning formats and workshops supported the transfer of knowledge and the joint development of learning environments as well as the creation of learning materials. Portfolio work was used to document individual progress. Content creation workshops promoted the exchange and development of digital learning content in a peer2peer approach. The project was rounded off with a comprehensive evaluation and the Big Picture Workshop, which summarised the results and outlined future steps. Multiplier events in each partner country served to disseminate and scale up the project results.<< Results >>The project achieved a wide range of outputs that provide innovative approaches for vocational education and training. At the heart of the project are the VET learning scenarios developed, which are highly diversified in terms of topics and methods. These were supplemented by accompanying teacher reflections and are available in multiple languages. Another key output is the remixed e-learning content, which was created during the SOL learning journey and was directly tailored to the personal development of the learner travellers. This content was also made available in multiple languages. The ‘Big Picture’ offers a visual and content-based exploration of the entire learning journey and is available in English. A method wiki, which documents specific methods and scenarios, enables a direct transfer of knowledge and was also created in English. The website makes all outputs, including a virtual roadmap, available for download. The scalable concept of self-organised learning (SOL) also includes templates for multiplier events and is available in multiple languages as an e-learning module, which ensures long-term use and transferability.
