<< Objectives >>Teachers need support through guidance, concepts, practical examples and dialogue to promote digital literacy and counter disinformation effectively in order to develop critical thinking in learners, especially when dealing with algorithms, 'information bubbles' and 'echo chambers'. The main goal is to empower educators to awaken young people's interest in serious journalism, promote critical media literacy and raise awareness of AI and fake news.<< Implementation >>We organise 1 kick-off meeting, 5 project meetings as hybrid discussion summits on specific topics at different locations and a final event. At the kick-off meeting, the project participants discuss the roadmap, the communication tools and the framework for the discussions and workshops. At the discussion summits, the members of the educational organisations from Austria, Italy and Slovenia discuss with journalists from various media and AI experts.<< Results >>A multilingual guide with strategies for educators to combat disinformation and promote digital skills is to be created that can be used directly in upper secondary school classes. A cross-border teaching and learning community will be established for the exchange of successful teaching activities and useful materials. Accompanying film recordings will be made for an English-language educational video that will provide support for teachers and students in the classroom.
