<< Objectives >>EcoSenda project aims at enhancing green capabilities of artist teachers and art & design students in European Art Colleges. With the application of these capabilities it also aims at reforming art & design education and artistic practices, e.g. residencies and exhibition planning greener and more sustainable. More broadly the impact reaches to the wider discovery of ecologically sustainable ways of working and use of materials in the field of contemporary art.<< Implementation >>EcoSenda starts with the background work of mapping and sharing the theory and practice of art & ecological sustainability. The findings of this work will be used in Residency Workshops for Artist Teachers & Art Students where these theories and practices will be tested in actual artistic work. The gained understanding and expertise of the residency period will be used to renew art academy teaching & curricula, developing ecological art & design education and making new sustainable artworks.<< Results >>The mapping and sharing work will result in findings about the ecologically sensible ways of working and living as an artist. This information will be used in artworks and methodological experiments in residency workshops of WP3 and in curricula redesign work in WP4. Tangible results will include the re-designed curricula, ecologically sustainable artworks and process documentation of their making. Project publication and open lectures will help others in carrying out similar development work.
