<< Background >>DIGILANCE4SE aligns with two key EU priorities: fostering digital transformation for sustainable economic growth and enhance entrepreneurial skills. As entrepreneurship is not part of traditional education, many persons lack the knowledge to start a business. This becomes even more challenging for vulnerable groups and those at risk of poverty. To increase the knowledge on Social Enterprise and make digital transformation work for people and business, the project provides accessible learning materials to educators, trainers and social entrepreneurs and supports networks to equip adult learners with entrepreneurial and digital skills, boosting creativity and social inclusion. The project addressed three Erasmus+ priorities. The first aimed to the creation of high-quality adult learning opportunities to support social entrepreneurs as change-makers through innovative training and non-formal learning. The second to increase competences for trainers and educators by developing an e-learning platform and mentorship program to ensure quality education in social entrepreneurship; and the third, the establishing of a transnational network of adult education, enhancing collaboration and knowledge-sharing beyond the project’s lifespan.<< Objectives >>The project promotes social entrepreneurship as a solution to economic and social challenges, leveraging digital tools to foster innovation, inclusion and sustainability. The initiative aligns with the EU’s digital strategy and sustainable development goals, aimed to equip adult learners with entrepreneurial and social innovation skills. The key objectives consist in: developing social entrepreneurial approaches and a quality training for adult learners, incorporating models from academy, business and civil society; enhancing of entrepreneurial competencies of educators, mentors and social entrepreneurs; in the establishment of an online network aimed to share e-learning resources and best practices; in providing practical hands-on learning to help learners to develop and implement sustainable business ideas, using digital tools. The final objective lies in the creation of a transnational network of an adult learning community for social enterprise, fostering cooperation and knowledge exchange. The project develops a standardized curriculum, offers training and mentorship programs and provides non-formal learning aimed to launch and sustain social enterprises, empower communities and promote long-term economic and social impact.<< Implementation >>The DIGILANCE4SE project implemented a series of structured activities to achieve its objectives of promoting social entrepreneurship education and social inclusion, strengthening digital learning, and fostering cross-border collaboration. To this aims, during the three years of project, most of the activities were implemented to build up the three main products and results (PR). The first project result (PR1), the INNOVATION BOOK, represents the methodological guide, and provides a practical framework for implementing educational approaches in social entrepreneurship. A common activity of research and analysis of best practices and successful social enterprises across Europe, including the analysis of legal frameworks, challenges and fiscal incentives in partner countries, laid the ground for the common understanding and shared knowledge. It allowed the development of a shared educational framework which defines the profile and key competencies for social entrepreneurs, establishes the evaluation and certification criteria for acquired skills and provides a strong foundation for the training curriculum. In addition to what was planned in the beginning, it outlines the methodological approach underlying the development of the further two project results. The INNOVATION BOOK is available in all partner languages on the Erasmus+ Result platform, the project website and on the e-learning platform. The second Project Result (PR2) consisted in the development of 11 Social Entrepreneurship Training Modules. Partners, through a “tandem” activity, built up a structured curriculum covering key competencies as for example business planning, financial management, marketing, professional profil and impact assessment. Where necessary and appropriate, the modules were tailored to the specific partner countries contexts (e.g. legal framework, financing). Special emphasis was placed on digital skills and entrepreneurial mindset development, necessary to include the specific needs of the target groups, including persons coming from vulnerable groups. All Modules and training materials have been assembled in the MODULE HANDBOOK, available in the six partner languages on the Erasmus+ Result platform, on the project website and in the e-learning platform. The third Project Result (PR3), the DigiLance4SE e-learning collaboration platform has been implemented by all partners in the six partner languages EN, EL, GER, IT, RO and SLO and is organized in two main branches. The first, designed for a transnational community of mentors and trainers, hosts all materials in English version, primary and common language. The second has been organized in a multilanguage format. All training materials in the partner languages, are downloadable for each training module. Furthermore, all materials, assembled in the Module Handbooks, can be downloaded in the six partner languages. Finally, the platform includes the TUTORs GUIDE, available in the six partner languages and addressed to improve pedagogical skills.Strongly linked to the activities aimed to the development of the training curriculum, have been those addressed to the capacity building through training programs. The transnational training of trainers (C1) event in Slovenia, aimed to prepare trainers, educators and mentors, focused on innovative teaching methodologies, digital tools and practical implementation of the training modules, available in the e-learning platform. The local pilot trainings in all partner countries involved more than 120 learners which participated in the local training sessions aimed also to test and refine the developed curriculum. The courses were adapted to different national and cultural contexts, ensuring relevance and effectiveness. During three transnational Learning Training and Teaching Activities (C2-C3-C4) implemented in Italy, Ireland and Greece, learners were introduced to the diverse social enterprise ecosystems. Activities included workshops on social enterprise development, field visits to established social enterprises, pitching sessions where participants presented their business plans, developed during the local piloting. Special attention was given to include adults with vulnerabilities. In all partner countries, follow-up and mentorship activities have been realized after the local piloting and the three training mobilities. They consisted in monthly mentoring sessions (both individual and group) to support learners in refining business plans and preparing for start-up launch, providing practical advice on concrete aspects and needs. Networking activities facilitated connections between learners and social enterprise incubators and encouraged international networking and collaboration among participants. Further important activities consisted in the continuous evaluation of each project activity and the constant dissemination through social communication channels, the project website, partner websites, meetings, conferences on local, regional and European level and a final multiplier event in each country. The associated partner SFE CEFEC, a European Network which follows the mission to create work inclusion opportunities for persons with vulnerabilities by promoting social enterprise, significantly supported a wider spread of the project initiatives and results. At a glance, the project successfully implemented a diverse set of activities, combining digital education, practical training and international collaboration. These activities not only equipped learners with essential skills but also ensured long-term sustainability through mentorship, digital resources and a growing network of social entrepreneurs across Europe.<< Results >>The DIGILANCE4SE project successfully delivered multiple tangible and lasting results, contributing to the development of social entrepreneurship education at various levels. The following are the concrete outputs and results achieved during the three years of project implementation. The Innovation book (PR1), represents the methodological guide and provides a framework for social entrepreneurship education. It includes best practices, research findings and educator profiles to support training programs. The INNOVATION BOOK is available in all partner languages on the project website, the e-learning and the ERASMUS+ Result Platform. The Social Entrepreneurship Training Modules (PR2), offer a structured curriculum covering key competencies, such as business planning, financial management and impact assessment. They are adapted to different learning needs, including disadvantaged groups. All Modules and training materials have been assembled in the MODULE HANDBOOK available in the six partner languages on the project website, in the further enriched e-learning platform and on the ERASMUS+ Result Platform. The DigiLance4SE E-learning Platform (PR3), consists in a digital training resource with interactive learning modules, quizzes and mentoring tools. It ensures scalability and accessibility for learners across different regions. The platform is available in the six partner languages EN, EL, GER, IT, RO and SLO and is organized in two main branches. The first, designed for a transnational community of mentors and trainers, hosts all materials in English version, primary and common language. The second is organized in a multilanguage format. All training materials are downloadable from the course and in the assembled version, the Module Handbook in six languages. Two guides, the TUTORS GUIDE in six languages, providing pedagogical inputs and the E-Learning platform guide, are available on the platform. The platform provides statistics on the adult learners’ registration and represents an online hub for learners. A short video, summarizing main project contents and providing short testimonials realized with participants after the training activities on learning challenges and impact, has been created by partners. It is available on the project website, the Erasmus+ Result platform and the e-learning platform. Evaluations showed high satisfaction (80%+) in usability, responsiveness and learning impact.Further outputs consist in several training and capacity-building initiatives, carried out during the project time, with the involvement of vulnerable and disadvantaged learners. The first, the Training of Trainers (C1 Mobility Program), involved 12 trainers from the different partner countries, which could test the materials created during the first project phase and increase proper competences. This ensured a sustainable model for knowledge dissemination beyond the project. The second, the pilot training in each partner country, involved over 120 learners in training programs, testing and refining educational content. It provided a practical, hands-on learning experience for aspiring social entrepreneurs. The third, consisting in three international training mobilities (C2-C3-C4), involved 36 selected participants in international training experiences in Italy, Ireland, and Greece, enabling cross-cultural learning and networking opportunities. Participants, based on the SEMD - Business model, created their business plans. All participants received the Europass. The whole of these activities contributed to the creation of a European Network for Social Entrepreneurs, fostered the collaboration between trainers, learners and policymakers and strengthened connections with existing social enterprises and business incubators.A follow up mentorship and coaching support, consisted in monthly individual and group mentoring sessions for participants to refine business plans. This strategy encouraged long-term engagement and post-training support. In order to monitor these activities, a short follow-up mentoring guide has been developed and a final report follow up report summarizes both, methodology applied and its impact. The constant evaluation of all activities allowed partners to identify challenges and upscaling needs, as well as the satisfaction and positive impact on the different levels of the activities realized. All project products are transferable to other organizations outside the project partnership. Overall, the project successfully achieved its primary objectives, creating a sustainable, inclusive and innovative framework for social entrepreneurship education. While some challenges remain, the project exceeded expectations in engagement, digital learning impact and transnational collaboration. These outcomes provide a strong foundation for future initiatives, ensuring the long-term impact of the project on entrepreneurs, educators and the broader European social economy.
