"<< Background >>Our motivation for this project was formed from a needs analysis of the partner organisations and their interest in activities related to environmental protection and the strengthening of green skills in pre-school children and children in the first six years of primary school. While all partner organisations have been involved in a number of national projects on ecology for a number of years, each in its own way trying to create a change of habits among employees and children, there has been no significant progress due to a lack of innovative and creative approaches. So we decided to join forces and pool our knowledge to tackle the issue in a new way. In a fresh, creative and, above all, modern way. The needs we addressed were: an increased knowledge and awareness of environmental issues among teachers, children and families, collaborative efforts among parts to share knowledge, experiences, and strategies, a combination of theory and practice that ensures comprehensive learning for teachers and children, activities designed to engage children actively and make them feel important in the effort toward a cleaner environment and a way for preschool teachers and teachers to integrate environmental topics more frequently. << Objectives >>The objectives of our project were:*Making children aware of the importance of green skills and the need for environmental protection.* Encourage families, employees, and community members to adopt environmentally friendly habits through practical ideas and instructions.* Present and raise awareness of the concept of ""reduce, reuse.""* Bring together diverse generations, cultures, and social backgrounds to collectively address environmental challenges.* Promote creativity and innovative approaches* Promoting Green Tourism* Developing Key Competences of Professionals* Empower teachers with skills, good practices, and innovative teaching methods.* Enhance their digital literacy and integrate ICT tools into teaching.* Support the professional and personal development of teachers* Encourage teachers to model healthy, sustainable lifestyles * Organize inclusive activities such as ""green days,"" virtual events, and a final conference to share findings and results with the public.* Strengthen ties between children, teachers, parents, and local communities to act collectively as guardians of the environment.<< Implementation >>As part of the project, we implemented numerous activities that ensured the achievement of set goals as well as the preparation of project results. In addition to regular meetings of project teams and coordinators within individual partner organizations, we organized three online meetings. These meetings played a key role in: evaluating implemented activities, preparing evaluation questionnaires to measure progress in the knowledge and application of green skills, financial management, planning of LTT activities. We conducted five LTT meetings, which focused on the following themes:Green ICT, Green Play, Green Tourism, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Sustainability in Education and Everyday Life. Each meeting was structured to include both a theoretical component and a practical component . This approach ensured that participants gained new knowledge, examples of good practices, and ideas for further use in their work.As part of the project, we also organized two ""Green Day"" events, which were aimed at promoting the project and its results and encouraging discussions and active participation. The most important multiplier event was the final conference, where all key project results were presented.<< Results >>As part of the Green Little Heroes project, the following results were developed:* Project Logo - A visual identity representing the project's mission and objectives.* Project Mascot - Geofilos, a character that promoted the project's visibility and motivated participation among children and other stakeholders.* Project Brochure in 6 Languages - informational material tailored to each partner language, designed to promote and present the project to a broader audience.* Project Diary - a document capturing all key project activities, including photos and summaries of achieved goals.* Book of Traditional Games - a collection of traditional games from partner countries, fostering intercultural understanding and the preservation of cultural heritage.* Tourist Guides for Partner Countries - guides showcasing sustainable and eco-friendly tourist spots and activities in partner countries.* Collection of Didactic Materials - resources designed to support teachers in integrating topics of sustainability, green skills, and environmental awareness into their teaching.* Final Conference Proceedings - a publication summarizing the presentations, outcomes of the conference, and key achievements of the project."
