Through field research with entrepreneurs and stakeholders, insights were gathered using platforms such as DEHOGA Brandenburg and the TourX Center of Vocational Excellence. This research supported by additional online surveys, aligned with the preferences for training needs of tourism entrepreneurs and preferences digital tools using young travelers.A key outcome was a modular curriculum tailored for SMEs, trainers and VET students. This curriculum was translated and provided a resource hub via a dedicated website. The project also included blended training sessions emphasizing digital tools, service quality, and intercultural competence. Feedback loops from participants further refined the modules.The project fostered collaboration with local tourism entities, establishing its website as a central hub for further collaboration. Effective project management ensured project-progress tracking, dissemination through events and online platforms. This methodical approach not only achieved its goals but also cultivated a network for ongoing improvement and alignment with industry needs.<< Results >>The project achieved a variety of results. The field research provided valuable insights through detailed analyses, enabling the creation of a comprehensive database and an evaluative report.The digital curriculum covered essential areas, specifically digital tools for tourism, the basics of service quality in the hospitality industry and intercultural competence in modern workforces, supported by presentations and evaluation questionnaires for each module. All course materials were translated into ger/en/el, broadening their accessibility. A test report and future implementation plan were developed to guide the further ongoing of the project results target oriented in education and training. The project website was established as a central platform for disseminating results and connect to an online learning platform.The project fostered the continued cooperation of a high-performing and experienced consortium and paved ways for future project cooperation and further contributions in the transnational tourism sector.With its specific project methodology, the e-Tourism project often reduced existing gaps between the development of training materials in transnational project work and their potential for real regional/local use.
