Youth Tackling Racism

<< Background >>The reason that pushed us to implement this project was the growing need to improve the work aimed at the inclusion of migrant subjects. This need is seen not only in the context of the Domitian coast but also emerged from the other partners involved. The need is to address this theme with innovative and integrated actions. The ultimate need we wanted to address is that of the migrant subjects themselves, who need to be included and inserted into the context of arrival.<< Objectives >>Through this project, we aimed to increase the capacity of the organizations involved to design effective activities to promote the inclusion of people with migrant backgrounds. Furthermore, we tried to achieve a better inclusion of migrants, users of the partner organizations, from a social, educational and work perspective. Finally, we tried to promote the value of diversity in the local community.<< Implementation >>As expressed in the application phase, we implemented several activities. First of all, there were 5 meetings, two in Italy and one for each partner country. The meetings had the aim of exchanging good practices on the topic of migrant inclusion. Only the last meeting, held in Italy, had the aim of creating a booklet that describes the experience. Subsequently, we implemented the dissemination activity. Each country organized two events in this sense, one online and one in person. Finally, we dedicated ourselves to the follow-up activity. Each coordination was entrusted to the Damare cooperative, but each partner supported the management of the project by taking responsibility for some parts.<< Results >>As a result of the project, we have achieved an increase in the capacity of organizations to cooperate at European level and to act more incisively for the inclusion of migrants. Furthermore, we have increased the skills of the operators involved and consequently increased the possibilities of inclusion of migrants. Through dissemination events, we have also raised awareness among the local community on the topic of inclusion. As concrete outputs, we have produced a booklet and a video illustrating the experience.
