<< Background >>We applied for funding to actively engage in cooperation with organizations from Europe in order to mutual learning, exchange of experiences and education of our members and societies. At the stage of writing the application, we diagnosed a problem that consisted of low activity of the local community, lack of intergenerational integration centers, marginalization of rural residents and low interest in rural culture and local traditions. Needs resulted from problems, we transformed them into design goals:increase in competences, quality of work and methods of operation of project participantsestablishing partnerships to support social inclusion and counteract exclusionexchange of experiences in the field of activating activities in the field of intergenerational educationincreased activity of local organizations supporting intergenerational education and cultureand acquiring knowledge in organizing intergenerational workshopsOur needs and goals focus on social values ​​and investing in the development of participants. It also contributed to strengthening the potential of rural areas.<< Results >>Qualitative results:1. There was personal development of the project participants2 There was development of partner organizations through the acquisition of knowledge on how to use culture for social inclusion3. Participants learned about the history and culture of the partner country4. New methods of activating the local community were developed (through new activities and topics)5. The language competences of the project participants were improvedQuantitative results:1. A final report was prepared in which we included the evaluation of the project and conclusions from the implemented operation2. An international partnership was established to activate the local community and counteract exclusionsocial3. Three workshops were held to activate the local community (workshops on culture, history, cultivating traditions)4. We developed recommendations for further action in the adult education sector, which we included in the evaluation
