"<< Background >>We applied for this project during the Covid period. A significant need was to support students in their transition to the professional world, especially given the restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic that made internships impossible. Additionally, we noticed a substantial lack of integration of IT and new media in education. Our goal was to address these gaps by offering online learning opportunities and improving the integration of IT in education, benefiting students while enhancing career orientation by providing access to relevant resources and information about careers. Thus, the theme of ""virtual internships"" seemed to be a perfect combination to address these aspects. Finally, for better adoption of the results, an online platform with clear resources and guidelines, as well as a motivating presentation, was essential, supported by continuous project activities to ensure its sustainability.<< Objectives >>Our objectives were as follows: Explore and develop new ways to offer pre-professional experiences to younger generations. Prototype and experiment with a digital internship model for learners needing internship immersion and/or career orientation. Reach secondary school learners and their teachers, providing them with digital resources to explore the world of work. Establish connections between educational institutions and companies. Facilitate contact between students and companies for internships. Promote collaboration among teachers from different institutions to address the transition from school to vocational training or university, and ultimately to professional life. Identify the needs of educational stakeholders and students to produce results that are genuinely used to ensure the project's sustainability. Encourage students to undertake internships, especially internationally.<< Implementation >>We implemented a series of planned activities to produce essential results for the project, in collaboration with all project partners.First, we conducted a detailed needs analysis by carrying out three surveys in each partner country, allowing us to compare the situations regarding vocational training and internships.Next, we produced a prototype of digital internships and developed 27 video modules designed for wide use. We organized pilot phases in various institutions to test the quality of these modules and promote their utilization. These modules are hosted on a web platform, https://www.careergarden.eu, which we also developed to serve as a virtual campus and networking hub.Concurrently, we developed a career guidance framework based on the survey results. We also organized a digital networking event for participating students, along with a digital exhibition highlighting the project's achievements.Training events were organized in different partner countries to disseminate the project and work on the specific concepts of the project. Finally, we organized multiplier events to support the dissemination of the project results to the general public.<< Results >>The results are ; •Production of an analysis and sustainability guide•Production of a Career Guidance guide: Intended for teachers in versatile educational structures, this guide helps integrate career guidance and skills development into their courses.•Creation of 27 video modules from 5 sectors: •Development of a website: https://www.careergarden.eu, includes all videos, educational resources, and results, accessible to a wide audience for free.•Design of educational and interactive resources: •Implementation of a digital exhibition: The ""Career Garden"" exhibition showcases the entire project, highlighting participants' achievements and learnings.Additionally, other noteworthy results include enhanced cooperation between educational institutions and businesses, as well as recommendations and actions to further strengthen the project. Working on the project's outcomes provided valuable insights into each country's school and vocational training systems. Participants in the training, piloting, and dissemination events found inspiration for their work and career paths and discovered the European Union and the benefits of the Erasmus+ program."
