Coopérer et mutualiser les pratiques éco-responsables en Europe du Nord-Ouest et Scandinavie

<< Background >>We set up this Erasmus+ project from a period of training for sustainable development representatives from establishments dependent on the Agency for French Education Abroad in the North-West Europe and Scandinavia zone. We wanted to benefit from european funds to allow eco-delegates from future high schools to meet, to discover the practices linked to sustainable development objectives in the establishments and their countries of establishment, in order to identify a theme for common reflection. That of the water quickly cleared. The objective was to formalize the reflections during the organization of conferences of the parties in mini-zones of the large geographical area in order to make proposals applicable in situ. A first meeting took place in Brussels in 2023, where the Jean Monnet high school welcomed the eco-delegates from Luxembourg and The Hague, but the funding obtained via the AEFE educational actions did not make it possible to meet on a larger scale, with other establishments.<< Objectives >>We wanted to launch a zone dynamic, with local partners with whom certain highschools were already working as part of the reflection they were carrying out on already existing actions relating to sustainable development. Thanks to this, it was a question of involving both primary and secondary students to make proposals applicable in the different highschools involved, aiming to go further in the process already underway. The aim was to create a beneficial dynamic for all the educational communities of the partner highschools (or schools), to strengthen and develop links with local contexts to do this and to give the desire to other establishments not still committed to joining us. The organization of “mini-cops” by zones should lead to the holding of a COP for the entire zone, in 2025-2026.<< Implementation >>Several activities were implemented during this project, at different scales:- training activities for sustainable development representatives of establishments,- who themselves trained the eco-delegates and prepared them either to welcome their peers or to make proposals for the holding of future COOPEs and COPs,- workshops for students with representative associations such as beach cleaning in the Netherlands,- the possibility for primary and secondary students to debate by better appropriating the issues relating to the sustainable development objectives of certain countries and by making concrete proposals during COPs for the establishments where they are educated.In addition to these activities planned to carry out the project, the establishments continued and developed the actions already carried out which had been praised when obtaining the EFE3D label (partnership with Tara Océan, in situ sustainable development forum, etc.).<< Results >>The concrete results which made it possible to say that the project had succeeded are observable thanks to the realization of the various planned groupings, the activities designed to discover the establishments and their host countries and the drafting of two charters in Scandinavia and the United Kingdom. Uni Ireland, as well as the 23 proposals selected in Benelux which will be implemented in the mandated establishments (or just involved and benefiting from AEFE funding for Dublin and primary schools in London). The interest aroused by this project at the level of the Agency for French Education Abroad, in other areas of Europe and in other settings than schools, is also a great success.
