A, B, C... Digital Education

"<< Background >>Digital literacy has emerged as a central issue in fostering inclusion and participation: an increasing number of services and processes have moved online, requiring specific skills to access them and to have the ability to contribute. In addition, the Covid pandemic further accelerated the digital transformation, investing secotrs almost totally excluded sectors such as schools and ""traditional"" work. We found ourselves using digital tools of different kinds to avoid the suspension and/or malfunction of essential services for citizenship and the economy, bringing into everyday life issues related both to network infrastructure and the availability of devices and, above all, the skills needed to use them. The project started from the assumption that the digital transition has and will invest fundamental sectors of individuals and communities, and that having adequate tools to not be excluded from it becomes a crucial need for the present and the future. The project wanted to promote adult inclusion through the acquisition of basic digital skills, including prevention strategies for proper use.<< Objectives >>""A,B,C...Digital Education"" aimed to act in the context of digital skills gaps in adults aged 25-34. Specifically, the objectives of the project activities were to: acquire data on the current state of digital skills of adults (25-34) in different European countries; provide adults (25-34 years old) with basic digital skills; and raise awareness of the importance of digital skills for both education and employment.<< Implementation >>The project carried out three main activities: a survey, two training sessions and a research handbook. The survey aimed to collect up-to-date data on the project's target adults in order to understand the current status on the subject. The training aimed to provide learners with theoretical basics, practical tools, an overview of online risks and precautions to take. Finally, the handbook collected survey data and provided an up-to-date overview of the situation in the two countries involved.<< Results >>The Project aimed to achieve the following results:- Increased number of adults with basic digital skills useful in education and employment;- Increased knowledge of the current status of adults regarding basic digital skills in 2 European countries;- Increased awareness of the importance of digital skills and own use of digital in order to achieve work, educational, and personal goals.- 1 survey - 2 training sessions- 1 research handbook- 3 informative videos"
