Youth Employability data relevance, gathering and processing

<< Background >>The project was developed in response to the growing need for youth organizations, including our own, to improve their capacity in data-driven decision-making. While youth employability remains a key priority across Europe, many organizations lack the necessary tools, skills, and knowledge to collect, process, and use data effectively to inform their strategies and programs. This gap limits the impact and sustainability of their work. The project addresses this challenge by equipping partner organizations with practical competencies in data gathering, analysis, and application. It also responds to the need for better alignment between research, practice, and policy in the field of youth work. By strengthening the digital and analytical capacity of youth workers and promoting evidence-based approaches, the project contributes to more informed, impactful, and innovative youth employability initiatives at local and regional levels.<< Objectives >>The main objective of the project was to strengthen the capacity of youth organizations to use data effectively in their work, with a specific focus on youth employability. We aimed to equip youth workers, project managers, and staff with the knowledge and skills to gather, process, analyze, and apply data in strategic planning, project development, and communication. By doing so, the project sought to promote data-driven decision-making, enhance the quality and impact of youth initiatives, and foster innovation within the sector. In addition, the project aimed to develop practical outputs such as a joint publication and a series of articles that showcase the use of data in youth work. Through training, workshops, peer learning, and collaboration, the project also intended to improve transnational cooperation, support digital transformation in youth work, and contribute to a more evidence-based and responsive approach to tackling youth employability challenges across partner regions.<< Implementation >>The project was implemented through a series of interconnected activities designed to build capacity, promote collaboration, and produce meaningful outputs. It began with a kickoff event during Dubrovnik EXPO, bringing partners together and ensuring a shared understanding of the project. A training on data gathering and processing was held in Belgrade, equipping participants with key skills in statistics, data collection, and analysis. Each partner then conducted a six-month data gathering and processing process in their local contexts. Based on the collected data, a workshop in Senj focused on how to interpret and use the results to develop publications, strategies, and improve project writing. This was followed by the creation of a collaborative publication and eight articles on youth employability. The project concluded with a hybrid closing event in Belgrade, where results were presented and shared with stakeholders. Throughout the project, dissemination and project management activities ensured visibility, coordination, and impact.<< Results >>The project resulted in several concrete and tangible outputs. A key achievement was the collaborative publication summarizing the findings from the data gathered by partner organizations on youth employability, highlighting trends, challenges, and opportunities in the partner regions. In addition, eight thematic articles were produced, focusing on various aspects of youth work and employability, and shared in English and partner languages. These materials serve as practical resources for youth workers and organizations beyond the partnership. The project also contributed to the development of new skills among youth workers, particularly in data collection, analysis, and application. It enhanced the digital and analytical capacities of partner organizations and strengthened cross-border cooperation. The events organized - including the training, workshop, and closing event promoted peer learning, stakeholder engagement, and visibility, ensuring both local relevance and broader European impact.
