Tales of the Islands through Digital Storytelling for Environmental Awareness

<< Objectives >>We aim to empower students and teachers in rural and island communities with digital storytelling skills to promote environmental awareness and cultural inclusion. By developing innovative educational resources, fostering collaboration, and addressing sustainability challenges, the project enhances digital literacy, celebrates diversity, and equips participants with 21st-century skills. Through scalable tools and local, national, and EU engagement, the initiative ensures long-term impact.<< Implementation >>The project will implement activities including Digital Storytelling Toolkit development, workshops for students and teachers, a Teacher Workshop in Turkey, interactive storytelling challenges, and Multiplier Events in all partner countries. Outputs include a Virtual Story Library, an Interactive Story Map, and cultural/environmental storyboards, fostering collaboration, inclusivity, and sustainability across all phases.<< Results >>The project will deliver results including a Digital Storytelling Toolkit, 25 high-quality digital stories, a Virtual Story Library, and an Interactive Story Map, fostering environmental awareness and cultural inclusion. Outcomes include enhanced digital and storytelling skills among 100 educators and 200 students, increased community engagement through workshops and events, and long-term impact via sustainable integration of resources into school curricula across Europe.
