Enhancing Youth Mental Health & Well-being Through Sports

<< Objectives >>In response to youth mental health and transversal skill needs, MindFit aims to empower youth workers and trainers with inclusive, sports-based tools. They will assist young people in developing transversal skills, promoting social inclusion, and encouraging active participation, enhancing mental health awareness. Through toolkits, Open Educational Resources (OERs), capacity building, and peer mentoring, MindFit will provide accessible, youth-led support for essential life competencies.<< Implementation >>MindFit will:• Conduct research and develop a training toolkit• Create an interactive platform with OERs• Create a digital hub for youth about mental health and sports • Organise Capacity building activities • Run peer mentoring workshops• Launch pilot programs in Poland and Cyprus• Establish MindFit Clubs for young people• Organise digital campaigns and events• Ensure sustainability through local engagement and policy outreach• Create promotional material (website, social media etc).<< Results >>• Tackle youth mental health issues by integrating sports with transversal skills and raising awareness • Strengthen youth workers’ capacity with toolkits, workshops, and OERs to integrate transversal skills, mental health support and inclusive sports practices into their trainings• Empower young people through structured sports and peer support clubs and improve mental health, physical activity and active citizenship• Enhance collaboration between Poland and Cyprus on the project's issues
