E-life balance

<< Background >>The E-life balance project was created because we recognized the need to increase digital awareness among young people about digital risks and cyber security. We noted that there are insufficient tools for youth, teachers, youth workers and parents to work with youth on digital safety, and youth have insufficient skills to organize their leisure time beyond internet and terminal device use. It was clear to us that young people, as well as youth workers, have insufficient knowledge about internet and phone addictions, how to fight addictions, how to recognize the symptoms of addictions, and how to seek help. We decided to create this project to develop a handbook for young people working with both youth and parents with knowledge and tips on safe, responsible use of the Internet and modern digital technologies. We want to train trainers and teachers and teach young people how to use the Internet so as not to harm themselves and others, avoiding the many dangers lurking online, such as addictions, misinformation and cyberbullying.<< Objectives >>The goal of the E-life Balance was to increase the knowledge and awareness of young people, youth workers about Internet dangers and digital safety, as well as Internet addiction, and to equip young people and youth workers with tools for leisure activities outside of the Internet and terminal devices, and tools to work on increasing this knowledge and awareness through the development of the E-life Balance Guide. Through the handbook, youth and youth workers were able to learn the latest statistics on youth Internet use and their level of knowledge about cyber security, the latest catalog of dangers, the dangers of addiction, ways to recognize addiction and tips on how to seek help. It also includes a catalog of good practices. The project also aimed to improve the competence of youth workers in organ. Involved in the topics of cyber security, digital dangers and addiction, and how to talk to young people about these topics effectively and attractively. The applicant also wants to develop competencies in proj. management and gain them in Erasmus+ project management and establish long-term cooperation with partners as well as educational institutions working with the target group.<< Implementation >>The project surveyed students aged 13-20 in the partners' countries about their use of the Internet and terminal devices, and their awareness of cyber security, digital habits and Internet addiction. The partners created a report summarizing the findings of the research. The findings were compared and discussed at a research conference. During panel discussions on differences and similarities in the presented research results, their quality, recommendations - a catalog of good practices - were developed. A training conference was organized, during which each partner conducted a training course prepared by them on the topic in which they are specialists. The trainings were attended by people working with young people from the organizations participating in the trainings. The training materials are attached to the Guide. The participants decided that the training materials would be as attractive as possible to the audience and would also be prepared in the form of a game. All the developed elements were collected in the form of a manual, the addition of which became a game proposing activities that do not require the use of the Internet and screens. The manual was presented in schools in the countries of the participating organ.<< Results >>Results Among the results, we can distinguish increasing students' awareness of cyber-security, the dangers of Internet use and addictions; increasing the knowledge of young people and youth workers about the current situation related to the dangers and use of the Internet, increasing the activity of young people through their participation in the development of the research results and the development of the manual and the game; increasing the competence of youth workers on the dangers of Internet use, addictions and cyber-security; Equipping youth workers with the tools necessary to develop competencies among young people on cybersecurity, the dangers of Internet use and addiction; increasing the knowledge of young people and youth workers on how to help and fight addiction to the Internet and terminal devices; increasing youth motivation to spend their leisure time without the Internet; acquiring youth skills to spend their leisure time without the Internet; creating partnerships with schools and developing cooperation by providing the E-life Balance GuideProducts477 students who took part in the research ;12 trainers and 90 young people from partner countries trained;E-life balance Guide
