<< Objectives >>The Silver Screen project’s primary goal is to empower senior adult learners, aged over 65, with digital competences and literacies, by engaging them in smartphone film-making activities as a vehicle for learning. Through these activities, we want to address the prevalent issue of ageism and promote a positive perception of ageing on a European level, contributing to the European Commission's vision of active ageing and combat discrimination against older individuals.<< Implementation >>Through the creation of film clubs Silver Screen partners will establish collaborative learning spaces that foster intergenerational partnerships, where both senior learners and those aged below 65 can share knowledge and experiences and build their digital skills together. We will also support the professional development of adult educators by providing digital media training, OER toolkit for inclusive teaching and self-assessment activities to address potential ageism and bias among educators.<< Results >>The primary outcome that we expect from our project is to help to combat digital social exclusion among seniors. To achieve this outcome, we will develop:#1 Silver Screen Digital Media Workshops and Media and Information Literacy Step-by-Step Learning for Senior Adult Learners. Local film clubs will be established when piloting this Curriculum.#2 Self-assessments, OER Toolkit and Workshops for Adult Educators.#3 Silver Screen Showcases – events, to promote short films by film clubs
