<< Background >>The Reintegrate Wellbeing project was created in response to the increasing incidence of burnout among EU workers, which has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Burnout, characterized by energy depletion, job-related cynicism, and reduced professional efficacy, leads to significant personal and professional challenges, including decreased job satisfaction, productivity loss, and severe health issues (WHO, ICD-11; Eurostat, 2020). With 10.3% of EU workers reporting work-related health problems and a notable rise in burnout cases, particularly in high-stress sectors like healthcare, there is a pressing need for effective, multifaceted interventions. Our project addressed these needs through a comprehensive, modular curriculum that offers direct mentoring, workshops, and support for the development of healthier workplace practices. This approach not only supports individuals affected by burnout but also assists organizations in creating sustainable, supportive work environments to enhance employee wellbeing and prevent future burnout. Ultimately, our initiative strives to create a healthier workplace culture across the EU, fostering resilience and long-term mental health.<< Objectives >>Our primary objectives were to enhance understanding of workplace wellness, strengthen soft skills for individuals affected by burnout, and equip organizations with effective tools to prevent such challenges. To achieve these goals, we aligned our efforts with the 2017 European Pillar of Social Rights and the 2020 European Skills Agenda, which emphasize the importance of lifelong learning and skills development. The project’s activities included the creation of a comprehensive curriculum, provision of direct mentoring, and the development of best practices aimed at fostering healthier work environments. By concentrating on these key objectives, we aspired to support individuals in regaining employment under improved conditions while assisting organizations in cultivating sustainable and supportive workplaces. This multifaceted approach not only directly contributes to the priorities of enhancing overall participation in adult education but also plays a vital role in building resilience within the workforce. By focusing on these interlinked areas, we aimed to create a lasting impact that would improve the overall quality of work life for many and address the ongoing challenges posed by burnout in various sectors.<< Implementation >>Our Project carried out diverse activities across five work packages to achieve its goals. WP1 managed project tasks including creating and maintaining an online platform for communication, organizing monthly steering committee meetings, and overseeing financial management and risk assessment, and Sustainability Plan. WP2 involved extensive EU-level research on burnout, producing two final reports, a Methodological Framework and a Policies and Practices Toolbox featuring 18 best practices for burnout management and workplace wellness. WP3 developed a 360° Curriculum, two detailed handbooks: one for employees and one for employers and NGOs, and established a mentoring program offering personalized support. WP4 created a MOOC platform for e-learning, conducted rigorous user testing, and organized mini-job fairs in each partner countries. WP5 focused on dissemination, developing a project website: https://www.reintegratewellbeing.eu/FB: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100087884315099IN: https://www.linkedin.com/company/reintegrate-wellbeing/?viewAsMember=trueInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/reintegrate_wellbeing/newsletters and hosted multiple conferences and a European meetup engaging 210 participants<< Results >>The RW Project delivered several key outputs and achieved meaningful results. We created two Final Reports, a Methodological Framework and a Policies and Practices Toolbox with 18 best practices to combat burnout. Another significant output was the 360° C., which was supported by two detailed handbooks for workers and employers, designed to offer practical solutions and strategies. We also developed a MOOC Platform offering e-learning modules and a mentoring program to facilitate access to resources and guidance. Additionally, we successfully organised mini-job fairs across partner countries, connecting 411 participants including unemployed persons, workers, employers and staff from job centers and local authorities. Our dissemination activities were comprehensive, featuring a well-designed project website, an active social media presence, and the release of four newsletters in multiple languages to reach a broader audience. Moreover, we hosted 6 Final Conferences and a European meetup, which engaged 294 participants to present our results and foster important discussions on future initiatives aimed at improving workplace wellness and preventing burnout. These efforts demonstrate our commitment to sustainable employee wellbeing.
