<< Background >>The idea to apply for this project appeared when the teachers noticed the growing need for creating responsible, motivated, and socially engaged young people who are prepared to face the challenges of modern society. The community will also benefit from young people with developed positive habits, a strong sense of responsibility, cooperation, empathy and resilience. The schools will start teaching students how to enhance their potential for professional and personal success, equipping them with socio-emotional skills, decision-making abilities, creativity, and problem-solving competencies. In this way, the schools will become modern institutions with strong ethical values and socially responsible practices, attractive to new generations of students. The students need to become aware and motivated and be more involved in the school and community life. The teachers will also need to move beyond traditional roles, implementing interactive methods and sharing practical knowledge through innovative workshops.<< Objectives >>The project aimed to reach the following objectives:- To create and maintain mentoring relationships through communication with students and keeping a journal of the activities performed;- To transfer the experience of the learning process, encouraging motivation and self-confidence among younger students and detecting and monitoring their specific interests;- To provide help and guidance in school socialization, developing socio-emotional skills and a sense of and preventing possible conflict situations; - To promote European values and basic human rights.<< Implementation >>During the project, three mobility events were organized for both teachers and students, which ensured sound project management and fostered strong cooperation among all partners. These mobilities were carefully planned and combined educational and cultural dimensions. The students participated in practical workshops where they developed different skills in creating crafts and videos to document school initiatives. The workshops focused on the three project parts - Plant Your Future, Collect and Win and Animals Are Our Friends. Beyond these workshops, participants were also allowed to explore a new country through cultural visits. These experiences not only allowed them to discover another culture but also helped them to appreciate diversity and strengthen their European identity. The project was finalized with a dissemination event, during which all activities and results were presented to a broader audience, in order to ensure visibility of the work carried out.<< Results >>The project was finalized with successfully fulfilled objectives and had the following outcomes: - The teachers were encouraged to use more topics connected to peer mentoring through workshops in order to raise the quality of education in the school. - The teachers, students and their families got acquainted and got well informed about the importance of peer mentoring in the process of socialization and responsibility for others; - The awareness and importance of the European Union in shaping a common future for its citizens was highlighted and raised to all parties who took part in the project directly or indirectly.
