<< Background >>We applied for the Digit-Art project to address the specific needs of inclusion and the development of digital and artistic skills among young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds or facing situations of vulnerability. We found that many young people consume digital content without having the tools, knowledge or confidence to become creators themselves.The main aim was therefore to develop an accessible methodology, using free smartphone applications, to enable young people to express themselves artistically and digitally, while building their autonomy and confidence. The project also met a need for training for youth workers, so that they could incorporate these tools into their practices and offer activities tailored to the realities of the young people they work with.Finally, this project aimed to create a European dynamic by connecting young people and structures from different contexts, thereby encouraging the sharing of practices and the development of a sense of belonging to an international community.<< Objectives >>In implementing the project, we wanted to achieve several key objectives:To enable young people to develop digital and artistic skills, using simple and accessible tools to produce and share their own creations.Boost their self-confidence and ability to express themselves on digital platforms, while making them aware of the risks and responsibilities involved in using technology.Train youth workers in innovative methodologies, enabling them to effectively support young people in digital and creative activities.Encourage European cooperation and intercultural learning, by linking up young people and organisations in different countries.Contribute to the social inclusion of young people from difficult or marginalised backgrounds, by offering them opportunities for self-expression and personal development.<< Implementation >>The Digit-Art project involved a number of key activities:Kick-off meeting in Paris: This meeting provided an opportunity to lay the foundations of the project, establish partnership agreements, and lay the groundwork for the three creative pathways:- Music production: Using the BandLab application to compose and record tracks.- Video production: Editing and creating clips using applications such as CapCut or InShot.- Social media content production: Storytelling, graphic design and managing engagement on Instagram and TikTok.Intermediary meetings: Two meetings, in Bulgaria and Spain, were used to evaluate the results, adjust the itineraries and prepare the final deliverables. Local workshops in each country: These workshops brought together young people with a variety of profiles, enabling the methodologies developed to be tested and adapted.Final meeting in Turkey: This meeting consolidated the results, organised the production of the final documentary and planned the distribution of the deliverables. Creation of final deliverables: A website bringing together the methodologies, a ‘making of’ documentary, and teaching aids for disseminating the results.<< Results >>Production of artistic content: The young participants created music, videos and content adapted for social networks.Educational tools: A website bringing together the methodologies of the three routes, guides for facilitators and video tutorials.Final documentary: A film retracing the process of implementing the project, including interviews with the partners and extracts from the workshops.Social impact: Boosting young people's confidence and skills, creating inclusive spaces for vulnerable groups, and increasing the involvement of local youth structures.International cooperation: Strengthening partners' capacities, sharing good practice and creating new opportunities for collaboration.
