<< Background >>We applied for this project to address the specific educational and social needs of children with special education requirements, such as those facing emotional, behavioral, or learning challenges. Teachers, educators, and staff lacked sufficient training on how to create an inclusive and adaptive learning environment for children with special needs. Our aim was to address these gaps by providing participants with the skills and knowledge to improve their work with children who have special education needs, thus creating a more inclusive, supportive, and effective learning environment.Collaborative work had significant impacts on teachers. Thanks to the workshops, teachers gained both theoretical knowledge and practical experience and observed the positive effects of different collaborative learning techniques on children with special needs. Experienced that collaborative learning with methods such as music, dance, digital educational games, creative drama and Orff applications developed social skills in students and made learning processes more effective. By participating in collaborative learning processes, they had the opportunity to develop themselves professionally and share knowledge and experience with other teachers.<< Objectives >>Through this project, we aimed to:- Enhance the understanding of children with special education needs, particularly those with emotional, behavioral, and learning difficulties.- Equip educators with both theoretical and practical methods to better support children with special needs.- Create and adapt physical learning environments that facilitate learning for these children.- Explore and implement new approaches to teaching social skills to children with special needs.- Foster stronger communication and cooperation between educators and families.- Promote peer collaboration to better integrate children with special needs into broader learning groups.- Update and strengthen the skills of professionals working in this field, while providing them with an intercultural and international perspective, helping them implement innovative strategies in their daily work.<< Implementation >>During the project, we implemented five key activities to enhance the skills of teachers working with children with special education needs:Theoretical Training in Adana: Teachers received training on understanding emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges in children with special needs, as well as how to apply cooperative learning techniques in their classrooms.Workshop on Music and Dance in Cooperative Learning in Kumanova: Teachers applied cooperative learning methods with local students, exploring how music and dance can improve social and emotional skills.Workshop on Digital-Educational Games in Vienna: This workshop focused on how digital games can promote engagement and cooperation, giving teachers practical tools for integrating them into their teaching practices.Workshop on Creative Drama in Slanic: Teachers collaborated with local students, using creative drama to foster communication and teamwork, crucial for children with special needs.Workshop on Orff Applications in Mersin: The final workshop used the Orff method to explore how music and movement can support cooperative learning and creativity.<< Results >>The project resulted in several concrete outputs and valuable outcomes:Improved Teacher Skills: Teachers gained both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in cooperative learning methods, specifically tailored for children with special education needs.
