<< Background >>We applied for this project because we strongly believed that, with adequate support, it could bring meaningful change for young people, the environment, and our partner organizations. The core need we aimed to address was the urgent demand for greater youth engagement in sustainability and climate action. Young people are key drivers of change, and by equipping them with the right knowledge, skills, and attitudes, we contributed directly to the Erasmus+ priority of environmental protection and the fight against climate change.Additionally, both partner organizations identified clear internal needs. ARKTIC, being newer to Erasmus+, sought to benefit from Logos’ extensive experience in youth work and non-formal education. In turn, Logos aimed to strengthen its work on environmental topics by drawing on ARKTIC’s expertise in sustainability and ecological education. Through this collaboration, we not only empowered youth but also built stronger, more capable organizations.<< Objectives >>Our objectives within this small-scale partnership project were:1. To foster dialogue between participants and participating organisations and strengthen youth participation in Poland and Germany, empowering young people to become more mindful of the environment.2. To make participation in our local projects more accessible to young people, including people from disadvantaged backgrounds.3. To equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to make sustainable choices in their daily lives4. To bring a greater European dimension to our youth work at the local level through regular exchange of ideas, practicesand mobilities – between staff and participants involved in ARKTIC and NGO Logos' local projects.<< Implementation >>We implemented a variety of activities aimed at promoting sustainability and youth engagement. These included: 1. Kick-off meeting2. Sustainable Fashion3. Recycled Art4. Community Cleanup5. Hike and nature6. Multiplier event in Poznan7. Multiplier event in Berlin8. Final event9. Evaluation10. Project management and promotion<< Results >>The “Green Trails” project led to several concrete results. We successfully implemented all planned activities, reaching over 200 participants, including more than 100 from disadvantaged backgrounds. Through interactive learning and cross-border exchange, youth participation was strengthened, empowering young people to become more mindful of environmental issues. Our local projects became more accessible, especially to refugees and migrants. Participants gained practical knowledge and skills for making sustainable choices in everyday life. Regular exchange of practices between ARKTIC and Logos enriched both organisations' local work, enhancing the quality of youth activities. The project also achieved strong media presence: over 60,000 people were reached through social media platforms, and around 20 publications highlighted project milestones, boosting visibility of Erasmus+ and youth engagement in sustainability.
