The project “EQF-Europass Latvia” will be implemented from 1 April 2021 until 31 December 2023 by Academic Information Centre as the designated body of the National Europass Centre and the EQF National Coordination Point in Latvia. The main objective is to ensure that people’s skills and qualifications are transparent and understood through Europass and qualifications are transparent, comparable and portable in Europe. In 2021-2024, activities will focus on providing the necessary support to the European Commission in order to ensure quality information in the new Europass portal regarding national context, as well as actively promoting and encouraging the use of Europass and EQF by stakeholders and individual end-users. The project will focus on further development of LQF, ensuring that qualifications and their learning outcomes are publicly available on the Latvian Qualifications Database and the information is available in the new Europass. National level discussions will be encouraged to enhance the further development of Europass and EQF (e.g. micro-credentials, opening of LQF to other types of qualifications, etc.) The target groups that will benefit from the project will be stakeholders - policy makers, education and training providers, guidance practitioners, employers, employment services, social partners, youth work providers, civil society organizations, other EU networks, as well as job seekers, workers, learners and volunteers as individual end-users of Europass and EQF. Great focus will be on the communication and dissemination activities. The outputs will be various seminars, discussions, events organized at national and regional level. Promotional and information materials, as well materials for advertising on social and mass media will be prepared and disseminated. Translations of publications and other valuable documents on Europass and EQF will be ensured, as well as an initial study regarding the developments of the new Europass portal in Latvia.
