Inclusion of Young NEETs Into The Labour Market

<< Background >>Our application for this project came from a deep understanding of the challenges faced by youth with special needs in the realm of employment and inclusion. In Europe, youth unemployment is a significant issue, leading to social consequences and diminished quality of life. This is particularly true for the NEET group (Not in Education, Employment, and Training), comprising 14.2% of 15–29-year-olds in the EU. Among them are youths with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other challenges, who find it difficult to integrate into both the educational system and the labor market. Our motivation was to develop creative, practical strategies for inclusion, supported by transnational exchanges of experiences and collaborations between public administrations, NGOs, and the private sector. Given that one-fifth of the EU population is expected to have some form of disability by 2020, it's crucial to address their social and economic situations. This project proposed an inclusion platform and basic training modules to facilitate the exchange of experiences and improve service delivery for NEET beneficiaries. Our approach is long-term, focusing on sustainable development and in-depth understanding of local contexts<< Objectives >>By implementing this project, our aim was to enhance the inclusion of vulnerable young NEETs with special needs into the labor market. We sought to develop effective ways to integrate these individuals into workplaces and equip companies with the skills to involve them in various work tasks. Among them are youths with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD.A key goal was to foster the acquisition of new knowledge and inspiration among participating parties, trainers, and professionals.Specifically, we aimed to create:- An open platform for labor market inclusion, offering resources for social service staff, private companies, especially social enterprises, and NGOs to include NEETs.- An online training package with hands-on materials providing practical knowledge about labor market inclusion for youths with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD..Our objectives were aligned with the priorities of advocating inclusion and diversity in education, training, youth, We aimed to increase vocational education and training flexibility, addressing the needs of NEETs currently excluded from the labor market, and fostering common values, civic engagement, and participation.<< Implementation >>In our project, we implemented a range of activities to meet our objectives:1.Training Needs Assessments and Study Visits in Denmark: We conducted comprehensive assessments to identify the specific training needs for staff and support staff.
