<< Background >>The rationale for applying for this project is grounded in the critical need to address the widening digital skills gap, particularly among disadvantaged youth, including NEETs, migrants, and refugees. As Europe and Türkiye move towards an increasingly digital economy, a significant proportion of young people lack the necessary digital competencies to participate fully, which greatly hinders their employability and social integration. Türkiye, for example, records one of the lowest levels of digital literacy within the OECD, a challenge further exacerbated by limited access to resources for disadvantaged groups. This project sought to respond to these needs by providing targeted digital skills and coding training, fostering employability and social inclusion. Furthermore, it aimed to establish a transnational network of tech professionals and digital education institutions, dedicated to supporting these vulnerable groups in becoming more competitive in the labor market. By addressing both the skills gap and social exclusion, the project aligns with broader objectives of fostering digital resilience, inclusivity, and collaboration across borders.<< Objectives >>The primary objective of the project is to empower disadvantaged youth, particularly NEETs, migrants, and refugees, by equipping them with essential digital skills to improve their employability and social inclusion. In today's fast-evolving digital economy, many young people lack access to the necessary training to become competitive in the job market. By implementing this project, we aimed to bridge that gap through targeted digital literacy and coding courses. Moreover, the project sought to establish an open network of tech professionals and digital education schools, fostering long-term collaboration and knowledge sharing. This network would help youth build not only technical skills but also critical connections in the industry, increasing their chances of sustainable employment. The ultimate goal is to create a pathway for these young people to transition from marginalized backgrounds into active and contributing members of society, thereby addressing the broader issues of digital transformation, employability, and social integration at both national and transnational levels.<< Implementation >>In the project, we implemented several key activities to achieve the set objectives. First, the PMI activity focused on the administrative and financial operations necessary to coordinate and plan the project effectively, ensuring smooth collaboration among partners. This involved regular monitoring, communication, and financial oversight to support all processes, with the target group consisting of managers, board members, and legal representatives from the partner organizations. Second, the Robotic Coding LTT activity provided essential training for disadvantaged youth, including NEETs, marginalized groups, migrants, and refugees. This training focused on building digital skills and increasing interest in coding and software development, through camps designed to enhance both technical skills and employability. The aim was to develop a network of IT professionals and digital education providers, supporting these vulnerable groups to become more competitive in the job market. Additionally, TPMs facilitated face-to-face and virtual collaboration, contributing to the strategic planning and smooth execution of the project across all partner organizations.<< Results >>The Robotic Coding LTTA was the main activity of the project and produced significant concrete outputs and results. Through this activity, multiple training camps were conducted, providing hands-on coding and software development instruction to disadvantaged youth, including NEETs, migrants, and refugees. As a result, participants acquired essential digital skills, particularly in robotic coding and programming, which directly enhanced their employability. The training also raised awareness about the importance of open-source software and increased engagement in the digital ecosystem. Furthermore, the activity helped develop a strategy for organizing future coding seminars and competitions, thus fostering an environment of continuous learning and skill development within the target groups. These outputs contributed to strengthening digital literacy, making the participants more competitive in the labor market and enabling them to integrate better into society. Additionally, the establishment of a network of IT professionals and digital education institutions facilitated ongoing collaboration and support for participants, ensuring the sustainability of the project's outcomes.
