<< Background >>We applied for SPANIT project because we identified the urgent need to improve the inclusion, motivation, and linguistic skills of adult learners (migrants, prisoners, and Erasmus participants), which need is in line with the EU Multilingualism Strategy for strengthening social cohesion, intercultural dialogue, and European integration, also based on the growing number of migrants entering.The project addresses several specific needs:- Improving the reception and inclusion of adults by increasing their sense of belonging and motivation, essential for long-term integration and EU values promotion- Providing innovative tools and methods for teachers to better manage multiethnic and multigenerational classes, that recreate real-life services and local activities of Palma de Mallorca and Capri- Offering practical language courses to disadvantaged groups (migrants, women seeking emancipation, NEETs, students with economic difficulties, and prisoners)- Fostering internationalization and modernization of the two partner NGOs, In Progress and EUSA, allowing them to exchange best practices, improve their teaching quality, and widen their target groups<< Objectives >>1. improve of at least 25% the reception of adult students2. learn innovative teaching methods/tools and strategies to recruite new types of migrants/students not so easy to approach(+25%)4. reduce the problems which affect multiethnic learning contexts (-20%)5. create an advanced team of Spanish for foreigners/Italian L2 teachers with inclusive methodologies (+30%)6. improve of at least 25% the management of multiethnic/multigenerational classes with innovative methodologies basedon languages card game7. increase of 50% the internationalization/modernization of the two ngos8. growth of 30% of the 2 ngos with new language courses/exchange of best practices about inclusion/language teaching methods9. include new targets of migrants/Erasmus participants/people with low basic skills (+30%)10. Shorten and improving team building techniques in multiethnic/multigenerational classes with non-formal, inclusive methods to dispel prejudices. Feeling part of a united group improves learning (+30%).11. Improve of 30% the intergenerational dialogue among language teachers of the two ngos12.
