Shared City Shared Future - sharing practice to build capacity for young urban grassroots action

<< Objectives >>Idéburen Utveckling Sweden and dock europe Germany work with popular education and participation formats to activate urban citizenship. In this project, they create a program to share and prototype new practices, explore challenges when working with engaging and including youth, young leaders, activists and youth workers in urban communities with socio-economic conditions, build organisational capacities as supporting bodies, and extend their European networks to enable future partnerships.<< Implementation >>The project starts with a kick off in Hamburg for young activists and leaders to determine the formats and plan the implementation of the project. This is followed by a series of activities in local initiatives prototyped and accompanied by online reflection meetings. In a learning event in Malmö outcomes are shared with an extended network of organisations and new connections, and in the final closing event in Hamburg we harvest and share outcomes, learnings and plan for future collaborations.<< Results >>Built capacity for partner organisations for facilitation of a more inclusive and accessible local grassroot participation of young urban activists and leaders. Empowered youth and youth workers with a wider european network and understanding of local conditions in an european context. Local prototyping and further develop methods through 4 peer-to-peer learning workshop, and one learning event in Malmö and a harvesting event in Hamburg. One published blog with creative process dissemination.
