"<< Background >>The project was submitted because the need to educate society about non-heteronormative and refugee people was noticed in order to better integrate these groups and build mutual understanding. According to the CBOS survey ""Poles' attitude towards homosexual relationships"", every fourth Pole believes that homosexuality is abnormal and cannot be tolerated. According to a survey conducted in 2013 by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, 47% of respondents experienced discrimination on the grounds of belonging to the LGBT+ community. As many as 59% of them indicated that they had been attacked. When it comes to immigrants, in 2018 as many as 60% of Poles had a negative attitude towards foreigners. For these reasons, the idea of submitting the project was born, the aim of which was to explore the subject of the situation of non-heteronormative and refugee people in Poland, Bulgaria and Germany.<< Objectives >>Through the strategic partnership project and organizing activities in Poland, Bulgaria and Germany, we exchanged the experiences of other employees of the organization, their ways and methods of working with youth through non-formal education, whose main goal is learning through practice. Participants not only improved their knowledge of tolerance and anti-discrimination in their country and Europe but also gained new hard and soft skills.<< Implementation >>The project consisted of 3 activities: an exchange of good practices and getting to know each other in April 2022 in Sofia (Bulgaria), an exchange of experiences and methods of working with excluded people in September 2022 in Potsdam (Germany) and an international training course for young people in against exclusion in April 2023 in Toruń (Poland).<< Results >>One of the results of the project was to expand the knowledge of the organization's employees in the field of equality of LGBTQIA+ people, equality of people experiencing refugee and deepening social inequalities between people in the social context as well as equality in terms of gender equality. Another effect of the project was to raise awareness about tolerance towards people in local communities and partner countries, in Europe and in the world, and to define the problem of intolerance in 21st-century Europe and find ways to change its current state. Participants gained skills and exchanged good practices in the field of planning, managing and organizing activities of organizations leading to the elimination of discrimination in communities and gained/improved the ability to design infographics in Canva."
