<< Objectives >>The final objectives of the CASIMIR project are:1) to develop a didactic tool for teaching comprehension, adapted to different school levels in the countries participating in the project;2) to develop educational resources for the class, which can also be useful for teacher training in this field;3) to compare and understand the performance of students from participating countries in the PIRLS and PISA programs and;4) to disseminate these resources by creating an observatory of practices.<< Implementation >>For its implementation, CASIMIR plans to analyze the results of international assessments (PIRLS, PISA), study teaching practices, compare them, experiment with new didactic strategies, and finally create an observatory of best practices that will include online accessible resources. The dissemination of results will be carried out through conferences, masterclasses, scientific publications, and international collaborations.<< Results >>CASIMIR will result in improving students' reading comprehension by focusing on implicit meaning; providing new insights into the still underexplored field of teachers' reading practices to enhance this essential phase; mapping students' comprehension results in the European countries participating in the project; and finally, creating an online platform.
