"<< Background >>We applied for this project to promote international awareness of Fair Play and to teach students moral values such as tolerance, respect, and solidarity. Given the increasing social isolation and the loss of basic social rules, especially during the pandemic, there is an urgent need to instill positive behaviors in students through innovative and sustainable approaches such as games, theater, and intercultural collaboration. Traditional teaching methods are often ineffective and fail to reach all students. Our project aims to creatively and playfully convey values, foster conflict resolution, and strengthen intercultural understanding. It addresses challenges like bullying, discrimination, and a lack of social skills by engaging students in a dynamic learning process. By collaborating with transnational partners, we seek to develop new perspectives and methods that extend beyond the classroom, preparing students for successful and respectful lives in a globalized world.<< Objectives >>The project aimed to raise awareness of Fair Play values and establish them as fundamental principles for daily life and the school context. Our goal was to teach students tolerance, respect, solidarity, and morally responsible behavior to prepare them for successful and accountable lives in a globalized world.Through collaboration with partner schools from different countries, we sought to analyze cultural differences, highlight commonalities, and develop innovative approaches to promote fairness and conflict resolution. The project intended to empower students through games, theater, and creative activities to strengthen social skills, reflect on rules, and enhance intercultural communication. In the long term, we aimed to improve educational experiences, foster cohesion within schools, and create a model for other educational institutions that establishes Fair Play as a sustainable method for moral and social learning. The results were to be shared globally to achieve a broader impact.<< Implementation >>As part of our project, we carried out activities to promote Fair Play and strengthen intercultural competencies. The partner schools in Germany, Slovakia, Croatia, and Turkey focused on the following areas:1. Traditional games: In Turkey, outdoor games were used to teach fairness and teamwork.2. Digital and outdoor games: Croatia organized activities involving digital games, robotics, and coding, as well as outdoor games with children to foster creativity and social skills.3. Cultural and school-based activities: In Slovakia, a city game with cultural elements, a field game, and a ""Traditional Day"" at school were organized, featuring workshops, games, drama, improvisation theater, and peer learning, all centered around Fair Play.4. Folk dances, music, and classroom games: Germany focused on folk dances, music, and games presented by students in classrooms to enhance intercultural understanding. The results were reflected upon, documented, and published in a European game book. << Results >>Our project achieved tangible outputs with lasting impact.A key outcome was the creation of a European game book, documenting traditional, digital, and creative games to promote Fair Play, which was published on school websites and internal sharing platforms. The activities enhanced students' intercultural competencies, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills. They learned to view Fair Play as a social and moral attitude. Workshops, games, and cultural activities provided authentic learning experiences, embedding values such as respect, tolerance, and solidarity.Teachers incorporated the developed games and methods into their classes and schools, acting as multipliers. In the long term, the project fosters cultural exchange, raises awareness of Fair Play, and offers schools new approaches to teaching values. It strengthens social cohesion in schools and beyond."
