<< Objectives >>The RURALED project aims to develop transversal skills for adult learners and rural residents in order to address the gaps, problems, and needs of rural areas in implementing an inclusive Smart Village Strategy. By focusing on innovative and participatory methods of education and training, the project will tackle the digital divide between rural and urban areas and the urban bias that this divide entails.<< Implementation >>The RURALED project will implement various activities, including developing a community-based assessment tool to evaluate competences for an inclusive Smart Village Strategy. We will create a methodology and training toolkit and pilot test them during scenario development workshops, engaging rural communities in identifying strategic actions. Additionally, we will produce targeted measures and interventions to address specific challenges and evaluate the project's impact.<< Results >>The RURALED project is expected to yield several positive outcomes, such as an increase in transversal competences among rural residents and enhanced community engagement in the Smart Village Strategy. By implementing targeted measures and interventions, we aim to address rural challenges effectively, leading to improved quality of life and economic development.
