"<< Background >>The Air for All project (hereinafter AFA) wanted to bridge the knowledge barrier on how to decrease air pollution and greenhouse gas in daily living and make citizens feel empowered to act on instead of being threatened by air pollution and climate change. Also, to start up collaboration between air quality organizations, citizens, industry and societal organizations by non-abstract knowledge sharing for learning and spreading knowledge about empowering citizen activity and therefore, with the wish for a healthy world today and tomorrow.Project partner Ideas for Change (hereinafter IFC) needed: - expertise in data collection and air quality management work connected to emission database usage on regional EU level.- knowledge on how to build up digital communications platforms.Air Quality Organisation (hereinafter AQO) needed:- expertise in non-technical communication toward citizens about air quality and climate.- knowledge in citizens involvement methods.Proofing Future: Bridging People and Ideas (hereinafter PF) needed: - to learn procedures for incorporating citizen science.- expertise in emission database management for regional level usage in the EU within air quality management systems. << Objectives >>Overall, to improve the capacity for upholding an environmentally, climatic and healthy air quality for citizens in the EU and on global level by elaboration of a digital education toolkit in line with the demands of the EU and global directives. Further and more specifically to:1. Improve the learning opportunities among all citizens and generations in the EU about air quality by usage of a ""citizens involvement"" methodology for citizens in the EU. And, to equip them with necessary competences in carrying out air quality data collection work by a citizens science methodology. 2. Improve the competence in air quality organizations toward e.g., environmental and climate staff on how to involve citizens in the air quality work and thereby increase the chance for taking on the challenges involved in decrease of air pollution and greenhouse gases. 3. Increase the exchange of practices and cooperation among citizens and organizations in the EU related to sustainability work connected toward the climate and environmental aspect, along with the health aspects, in the air quality area with the chance to establish new collaboration between citizens and organizations from all parts of society and from a varied set of organizations. << Implementation >>AFA implemented the following activities during the project time:- The first, second and third transnational project meeting with purpose to secure the project progress and quality where the first meeting was held by FP online, the second was held at location in Västerås, Sweden and hybrid by AQO and, the third meeting at location in Barcelona, Spain and hybrid by IFC.- The Air Quality and Climate Workshop, the Citizens Involvement Workshop and the Knowledge Toolkit Testing Workshop where the first workshop (held by AQO) and the second workshop (held by IFC) laid the foundation for the knowledge sharing and intake between AQO, IFC and PF in the first part of the project to thereafter be elaborated into project results within the third Knowledge Toolkit Testing Workshop (held by PF). - Project Management with aim to support the project implementation from start to end in accordance with the project plan, that was held and carried through by AQO.- Three Multiplier Events for spreading of the project results to stakeholders in Germany (by PF), Spain (by IFC) and Sweden (by AQO).All project activities were followed in accordance with the project plan. << Results >>The result of the project was twofold: 1. A knowledge toolkit methodology with knowledge about air quality and greenhouse gas and on how to take part by citizen involvement in helping to spread knowledge about the topics and decrease air pollution and greenhouse gas, communicated toward a wide societal audience in a non-technical and easily understood manner. It involves: - 4 short-films about air pollution and air quality.- 2 short-films about ways of action for citizens in improving air quality and reducing carbon footprint.- 2 short-films about greenhouse gases, global warming and climate change.- 1 short-film presentation of AFA.- 1 text on fine particulate matter.- 1 digital and 25 printed paper copies of an AFA project booklet report that tells about AFA and how to use the results. - 2 short-film surveys.- 1 text about the meaning of activity data.2. A digital open access and free of charge platform (www.airforall.net) in which the knowledge toolkit (see above) and further, many citizen science case-studies, citizens empowerment reports, job and collaboration opportunities, research and popular science findings about air quality and climate, and events are shared in the EU and on Global level in English."
