ACT FOR GREEN FOOTPRINT, NOT THE GLOBAL WARMING!

"<< Background >>Our project was focused on the problem of ""global warming and climate change"", on the uncontrolled use of resources and on the protection of the environment. Living in a modern world based on consumption, the project targe group did not have a responsible attitude to use resources and protect the environment. Schools and the community did not focus on greater attention to environmental education and actions to reduce the carbon footprint.This project wanted to contribute to changing the mindset of students from partner schools regarding the need to protect the environment in the context of global warming. We thought of this project to raise awareness about the global climate and the contribution we can each make to reduce the effect of global warming. There are many factors that cause climate change. The main reason behind these factors is the lifestyle of human beings. Climate change is considered one of the most important crises because climate change affects all living things and the ecosystem, especially through natural disasters, health, water resources, it was necessary to educate the target group for environment protect.<< Objectives >>Our main goal of this project: increasing the responsibility of the target group for environmental protection, each acting for the responsible use of natural resources. The concrete objectives of our project: To raise awareness of the participants about global warming and climate change; To make the participants understand the reasons of the global climate change problem; Increasing by 60% the number of students from partner schools aware of the importance of environmental protection; To discover new ways of learning by creating a learning environment where students can gain knowledge and experience at the local and European level; To reduce unnecessary consumption and waste; To perform the acquired knowledge and to exchange its using new technologies and English language; To give the opportunity to young people to take initiative, to be creative, to use multimedia tools; To recognize different cultures;To develop tolerance against differences. Also, by implementing this project, we had as goals: To make the participants to understand the reasons of the global climate change problem; Educating students about everyone's responsibilities in identifying ways to reduce the impact of climate change.
