SpeakEase: Overcoming Glossophobia Together

<< Objectives >>Our project targets empowering educators with strategies to combat glossophobia and boosting students' public speaking skills. By enhancing communication confidence and social competencies, we aim to create a supportive educational culture that nurtures articulate and self-assured individuals, preparing them for academic and professional success.<< Implementation >>Our project will focus on three main activities: developing a Digital Manual of Good Practices to reduce glossophobia in the classroom, creating a SPEAK Training Program tailored for teachers, and establishing a SPEAK Open Educational Resource (OER) for students. These resources aim to equip educators with effective strategies and provide students with interactive tools to enhance public speaking skills, thereby addressing and mitigating the fear of public speaking in educational settings.<< Results >>A user-friendly guide for teachers to implement activities and techniques addressing glossophobia, enhancing students' social skills, and raising awareness of its impact. A comprehensive Training Toolkit, adapted training material in multiple languages, and pre- and post-assessment tool to measure program effectiveness.The SPEAK open educational resource platform will offer engaging content and self-help materials for students to overcome glossophobia and improve their communication skills.
