"<< Background >>The project coordinator, Súkromná stredná odborná škola s vyučovacím jazykom maďarským – Magyar Tannyelvű Magán Szakközépiskola, Neratovické nám. 1916/16, Dunajská Streda, is constantly looking for opportunities to participate in domestic and international projects, within which it can provide for students and teachers of the school opportunities for cooperation with institutions, opportunities to travel abroad in order to expand theoretical knowledge and practical skills, and opportunities for further education in the field of study. As part of the planning of activities we provided opportunities for education in the form of project weeks in a foreign country for those students who come from socially disadvantaged families. The topic of environmental science plays one of the priority tasks in our institution, i.e. environmental protection, recycling, and the fight against addictive substances are also incorporated into our educational programs. In both school and extracurricular educational activities, our students, under the guidance of teachers, participated in workshops and organized volunteer activities. This concept was incorporated into the project.<< Objectives >>By implementing the project ""Environmental education through innovative development of our own cosmetic products - zero loss in production, completely waste-free"", we achieved several goals, for the benefit of students, teachers and the educational process of the school. After a management meeting, the coordinator and project partner specified individual tasks within the entire project. The main goal was to develop critical and creative thinking of students through professional lectures and excursions on the topics: environmental science, recycling, zero loss in the production of cosmetics, confrontation of chemicals with biological raw materials. The second goal of our project was to implement an educational and experiential workshop within the project week at the CEREDU project partner’s in the Federal Republic of Germany. We achieved: development of environmental competencies of our school students, production of cosmetics from biological raw materials, production of aesthetic containers and soap dishes, successes from project weeks in Bayreuth at the project partner’s, as well as other activities such as excursions, lectures and successful dissemination of the project on ERASMUS DAY, and on the Open Day of our school. << Implementation >>In the project ""Environmental education through innovative development of our own cosmetic products - zero loss in production, completely waste-free"", we successfully implemented the following planned activities: Management meeting, Gaining professional experience at the CEREDU organization's professional workshop, Student recruitment, parental involvement, Input test, Development of critical and creative thinking, Digitalization, Student mobility with two group trips: Educational and experiential workshops, Production of our own products, Output test, Preparation for the final meeting, Final meeting of partners, Dissemination, Evaluation. The activities were supplemented with excursions and other lectures, as well as consultations and meetings of project partners. Reports, photo documentation with videos of the course and implementation of individual activities are available on the project website: https://www.zerowastecosmetics.sk/, on the website of the coordinator: www.skolads.sk and on the website of the project partner: www.ceredu.eu.<< Results >>The outputs and results of the project ""Environmental education through innovative development of our own cosmetic products-zero loss in production, completely waste-free"" clearly reflect the achieved goals that we set at the beginning of our project. After recruiting students, we carried out an entrance test for students. In the research, we used the ENVI-PAK ecological intelligence test. Our hypothesis was confirmed, as the results of the entrance test show that the environmental awareness of students was at a lower level. After acquiring new theoretical and practical knowledge, and evaluating the final testing of students, the positive impacts of the program are measurable. The visual graphs clearly highlight those students who showed the greatest progress in reducing their ecological footprint and adopting environmentally friendly behavior. The results are published on the project website: https://www.zerowastecosmetics.sk/ . The students showed great interest in the opportunity to travel abroad and participate in a project week at the project partner’s, at the creative workshop of the CEREDU company. The project week in two stages, for two groups of students, was implemented in cooperation with the partner institution CEREDU."
