Pro Tactile in Catalonia: in search for a new language among Deafblind persons in Mataró

<< Objectives >>We want to achieve the following objectives by implementing the project:1. Equip 8 deafblind individuals in Catalonia with Pro Tactile skills, fostering communication and social inclusion.2. Train deafblind trainers to disseminate Pro Tactile knowledge effectively through the conduction of similar trainingsessions.3. Enhance partner organizations' capacity in conducting Erasmus+ projects, facilitating international collaboration andtraining for deafblind individuals.<< Implementation >>The activities include a 3-day preparatory meeting in France with partners AccesVisuel, Empoway, and Centre de PersonesSordes del Maresme a Mataró; followed by a 4-day ProTactile training in Mataró, Spain, led by four deafblind trainers for 8deafblind participants from Catalonia, addressing ProTactile philosophy, principles and in practice in Catalonia. Itculminates in a seminar on ProTactile's significance for deafblind individuals and awareness raising on Deafblindprofessionalism.<< Results >>The results we expect to reach in this project are:1. 8 deafblind participants from Catalonia enhance communication skills in Pro Tactile and use it further in their communityinvolvement.2. Four deafblind trainers gain expertise in conducting Pro Tactile training sessions and expand it in other Europeancountries.3. The partner organisations broaden their activities in conducting Erasmus+ projects, raising awareness on Pro Tactile anddeveloping in-depth ProTactile curricula.
