<< Objectives >>With this project we contribute to improving the declining mental health of young people in Europe. Literature and independent figures show that mentoring and serious gaming can make a positive contribution to this. Young people with a socio-economic disadvantage are particularly vulnerable in this area. Youth workers and mentors do what they can, but cannot reach everyone because the work is labor-intensive by nature. There is currently no tool that can simply be used and we want to develop one<< Implementation >>The project will use the design thinking and design research method to cycle between different activities in order to create the serious game that will help youth workers build their capacity in supporting younger people with mental health issues though natural mentoring. We are going to discover, understand, ideate, develop, test and train in order to get the outcomes mentioned earlier.<< Results >>At the end of the project the consortium will have a serious game tailored towards mental health that can help youth workers to be more efficient and effective in working with young people through building the supporting networks. At least 30 youth workers have used the tool successfully and have supported at least 150 youngsters with good mental health. The game has the potential to be used everywhere in Europe, because of its tailor made nature and is easy accessible for youth workers.
