Bringing the Gender Perspective into Youth Activities

<< Objectives >>The project aims to reach the following objectives: to understand better how and to what extent gender issues are addressed in the organization’s activities; to increase understanding of the youth workers, staff on the importance of promoting gender equality through a variety of actions and to mainstream the importance of the discussion on gender issues in the communities.<< Implementation >>The project will include a combination of activities that will be implemented at the local and international levels. At the local level, the organizations will map local realities and get to know the gender perspectives of young people, youth workers, and representatives of organizations outside and inside of the consortium. Moreover, the organizations will organize local trainings and debates. At the international level the key activities will be international training and online webinars.<< Results >>The project results will be gender policies tailored to the realities of the participating organizations and a Handbook with concrete steps guiding organizations and institutions through the process of creating gender policies. Moreover, the project will also have an impact on the level of individual competencies of youth workers and staff of the organizations and the capacities of the organizations to address gender issues in complex ways.
