<< Background >>The main goal of the project was to raise young people's awareness of the most modern and innovative pro-ecological solutions introduced in selected European countries and to draw attention to commonly available herbs that can be grown and used in everyday life as well as in medicine, cosmetics and cuisine. Additionally, our goal was to prepare educational materials regarding broadly understood ecology and to provide educators, trainers and teachers with helpful tools for working with young people. Another goal was the development of international partnerships and the exchange of experiences in the field of informal educational methods in teaching young people. We also wanted to influence the local community - through workshops and events, we disseminated knowledge about the ecological aspects of our lives, and in educational institutions we encouraged experts to develop this knowledge among young people, using informal educational methods in teaching young people. To sum up, through the implementation of the project, we wanted to support the education of young people, develop international partnerships and influence the local community.<< Objectives >>The results we wanted to achieve with the project are to raise awareness of young people and people working with youth about the latest and most innovative pro-ecological solutions, increase awareness of the use of herbs in cosmetics, cuisine and medicine and the possibility of growing them at home, increase the skills of cooking with herbs, preparing herbal mixtures and herbal cosmetics. By implementing this project, we aimed for growthqualifications of youth workers participating in the workshops, which may translate into the transfer of the information obtained organizations and the young people working with them. Effects that relate to our employees and that we wanted to achieve this: acquiring knowledge about learning styles and methods of working with youth, conducting and implementing projects, managing finances and organizing events, acquiring knowledge of the latest and innovative pro-ecological solutions introduced individually by European countries, using herbs in selected aspects of everyday life, optimal time management, setting priorities and organizing individual and team work, responsibility for assigned tasks conflict resolution methods, development of analytical and task-oriented thinking. << Implementation >>As part of the project, partner organizations prepared educational materials and tools for working with young people related to ecological solutions, cultivation and use of herbs: a board game about ecological European solutions, a workshop program with 5 interactive scenarios on herbalism and a city game program with tasks on innovative solutions ecological introduced by selected European countries and the cultivation and use of herbs in everyday life.Based on the prepared materials, workshops and game testing were conducted for young people and educators in each partner country. 100 people took part in testing the board game, in workshops - 160 people, in city games - 140 people. Based on the evaluation results, individual materials and tools were modified and improved. All materials are available on the project website in 4 language versions https://www.stayeco.eu/educational-materials/ Three international meetings were also organized, attended by representatives of all partner organizations. Management actions were also taken to monitor the project's situation in terms of expenditure of funds, timely implementation of activities, and cooperation between partners.<< Results >>As part of the project, the following materials and educational tools on ecology have been prepared, which can be an interesting source of knowledge and a work tool for youth workers and any ecological, youth organizations or educational institutions: 1) A board game in which players can buy ecological solutions introduced in various European countries and develop them. The game consists of instruction, a board, 30 ecological solution cards, 24 EU flag tokens, 52 question cards, 24 country title cards, 4 garden title cards and the Euro banknotes. 2) Workshop program, including 5 interactive scenarios. Each scenario contains a detailed description necessary to conduct the workshop, a set of exercises and materials to be used during the workshops, and sample evaluation surveys. 3) The city game program includes tasks for participants with a set of answers for the trainer, a description of the rules, game rules, cards for groups and sample evaluation questionnaires. The game combines knowledge about innovative ecological solutions introduced by selected European countries and knowledge about the cultivation and use of herbs in everyday life. We combined learning with physical activity, a bit of competition and good fun.
