Understanding and unlocking learners' and educators' potentials in diverse courses

<< Objectives >>Diverse Courses core objective is to contribute to inclusion and diversity in adult education. We aim at supporting educators to address the rising diversity and differentiated needs of the learners in their courses. To achieve this objective, Diverse Courses will develop a set of resources for educators to better understand the diverse needs of learners and provide them with didactical approaches to meet those needs, in order to unlock the full potential of the learners and educators alike. << Implementation >>1. A Course Mapping Tools will be developed and piloted in 18 specific courses and learners’ and educators’ personas will be created, to better understand their needs. 2. Didactical scenarios for adjusting the teaching to the identified personas needs will be piloted in 18 specific courses. 3. The project results will be presented in an interactive online platform, workshops, webinars and articles, through which educators will learn about the created approaches. << Results >>1. A manual showcases tools for profiling learners and educators.2. In a Personas Tutorial, a step-by-step guide will explain how to develop Learners and Educators Personas - fictious, but realistic representatives of target groups, to understand their backgrounds. 3. Through a toolkit with specific didactical scenarios, approaches are available how to adapt the teaching to the identified needs, to unlock learners’ potential and enhance educators’ competences in dealing with diversity.
