"<< Background >>Burnout is a significant issue in social service professions, leading to various negative outcomes like turnover, absenteeism, reduced service quality, physical and psychological disorders, loss of job satisfaction, and strained interpersonal relationships (Maslach et al. 2001). Studies in Canada have shown that adult educators and helping professionals are particularly prone to burnout. The target groups for the project were those amongst helping professionals who were most at risk of burnout, lacking resilience awareness, or facing challenges in long-term engagement in adult education. The project focused on learning resilience techniques through different methods:Online course and mentoring, provided psychoeducational tools, inspiration, and a platform for sharing experiences.Residential course featured experts like Tamalpa Life Art movement therapist Audicia Lynne Morley, offering methods for personal development.Created a ""Learning Marathon"" where partners shared best practices and tools in adult learning, with a compilation of these resources.Online follow-ups presented selected tools to a broader audience.Your Heart Beats was expected to enhance the learning process and addressing the specific needs of participants.<< Objectives >>Your Heart Beats aimed to support adult educators at risk of burnout and their disadvantaged adult learners (unemployed, seniors, ASD) through a dual approach: 2*7 days of residential learning activities and an online course with mentoring and dissemination. This initiative was designed to strengthen and empower educators and learners, offering effective learning and training methods to sustain their professions. It involved sharing high-quality adult education practices developed over the last 5-10 years by the eight expert partners and employing the Tamalpa facilitation method. This exchange of experiences aimed to improve the quality of adult education, increase resilience and well-being, draft sustainable career paths, and develop professional work in partner organizations.Your Heart Beats integrated innovative methods, combining the best practices from all partners. It emphasized local adaptation, offering a collection of easy-to-use tools and an online resilience course. These were designed to integrate training elements into the lives of adult educators and learners, and subsequently into their organizations.<< Implementation >>TC 1: It aimed to provide a personal learning experience in well-being and resilience. Partners gathered easy-to-use tools for individual and group learning, recording activities daily using templates. The project focused on developing competencies in resilience for adult educators (AEs) and learners (ALs). TC 2: Here partners gathered their best practices into easy-to-use tools for dissemination. These tools were shared online via EPRP, partner websites, and online events. The ""learning marathon"" involved workshops selected democratically by partners, ensuring the learning agenda meets collective needs. Mixed groups of adult educators and learners experienced these workshops together, with educators having additional sessions for refining the toolkit. The toolkit, designed for online and print use, includes aims, preparation needs, introductions, step-by-step descriptions, reflection questions, and facilitator remarks, all within a two-page template. It facilitates dissemination, sustainability, and new learning methods for both adult educators and learners. Adult learners can use the toolkit for personal development, while educators can utilize it for conducting workshops.<< Results >>48+4 individuals enhanced their resilience and digital competencies, having completed an online course to bolster well-being. The ""Your Heart Beats"" project offered 40 easy-to-use resilience tools through blended learning activities, accessible at Your Heart Beats - https://www.theorigoworkshop.com/yourheartbeats.An online course was available, equipping participants with a deeper understanding of resilience and well-being. It can be revisited at Mental Wellness Course - https://hop.salto-youth.net/courses/MentalWellness In support, 48 mentoring hours were provided, focusing on participants, particularly those with fewer opportunities, both before and after the training courses (TCs).The project also featured a podcast, “From Where Your Heart Beats - Art and Mental Health”, which can be found at Podcast - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fBBjfqa46k&t=7s, and successfully conducted 9 online dissemination events with a multiplier effect (1 international and 8 national), broadening the project's reach and impact."
