The Roadmap for Jobs of the Future

<< Background >>The main motivation to apply for this project were the results of analyses conducted by 3 organizations in the consortium and experience from other youth organizations. Results showed that youth workers should develop methodologies and tools to support young people on their career path, especially in post-pandemic conditions.Feedback received from IT companies and young people in Serbia; youth workers from Croatia and young people from Portugal, showed that the young are interested in remote jobs. For young people a particular challenge is work-life balance and a lack of flexibility in work and working hours. For remote-first and IT companies remote culture is a system to attract young people and reach many youth outside of big cities.Based on all these recommendations, and gained experience in work with young beneficiaries and youth workers, the consortium organizations developed a comprehensive tool to respond to needs which we have addressed in the project. The toolkit contains solutions, suggestions and recommendations for young people on how to position themselves in the labour market, obtain skills and how to reach stakeholders from their prospective areas of interests. << Objectives >>The goal of the project was building the capacity of three organizations in the project consortium in order to raise the quality level of youth work in the field of strengthening the employability of young people. Our consortium wanted to develop the competences of youth workers, bring the EU dimension to their work, and finally create tools and methods for supporting young people to find their way in today’s labour market.During the project our team delivered on 3 specific objectives:1) to promote the network exchange of knowledge, the best practices and the European perspectives among youth workers and our organizations in the consortium in order to improve our everyday operations and achieve greater impact to our beneficiaries;2) to equip and empower youth workers for supporting young people to find their way in today’s labour market and to improve their employability;3) to create better career prospects for young people with fewer opportunities by identifying new ways of cooperating with diverse stakeholders in the field of employability for young people<< Implementation >>Our team implemented 9 activities in the project:- The First transnational meeting in Portugal was hosted by Agora Aveiro. All partners learned about the best practices from one another at that time. The project management and activities for 2024 were defined then. - Project management of the grant was an ongoing activity: 2 to 3 persons from each organisation were available every month during all project activities. - Study visit in Serbia and exchange of the best practices took place in March 2024 in Belgrade. INAT Centre organized a 3-day event to create the toolkit survey for the beneficiaries and toolkit structure. - Toolkit and training development took place from July 2024 until May 2025 when International training for youth workers was held in Zagreb. These 2 activities were the peak of the project, requiring most effort and most satisfaction from team members.- Dissemination occurred throughout the project with regular online posts. The biggest impact was achieved after the toolkit was published. -The 2nd and 3rd transnational meeting were held online in May 2024 and February 2025. - Final online transnational meeting in June 2025 was dedicated to final dissemination efforts and preparation of the final report.<< Results >>Concrete outputs of this project are the designed toolkit, developed and realized training, dissemination of toolkit and all project results during in-person events and online channels. The toolkit was developed by recommendation of youth workers and organizations from 4 countries. The result of the training was improvement of skills for 21 youth workers and representatives of the project consortium. They shared the best European perspectives in the international community and learned to support young people in improving their employability.Over 625 young people and youth workers downloaded the Toolkit. We have organised 3 dissemination events in 3 countries and we presented the Toolkit at 2 other Erasmus+ projects in 2 EU countries as a part of the dissemination. These events have gathered 182 participants in total.The consortium created better career prospects for youth with fewer opportunities, as we built capacities for youth workers who work alongside disadvantaged youth. At least 3 people per organisation were hired and increased their financial well-being. All organisations from this consortium were invited to Erasmus+ projects (total 12-15 new projects): youth exchanges, teaching courses and Youth@Work conferences
