"<< Background >>From the analysis conducted by the partners in Italy and Spain, it emerges that among subjects at high risk of social exclusion, one of the most relevant needs is to overcome the confinement caused by the limited possibilities of movement due to lower economic opportunities and problematic aspects dating back to the culture of the countries of origin. In many cases, using an economically sustainable vehicle collides with cultures that exclude women from using them. The analysis also shows that one of the most frequent jobs among male immigrants is attributable to the delivery sector where severe road accidents are recorded, mainly due to the non-existent knowledge of road rules and bicycle maintenance skills. The project activities improved the profiles of the operators to be able to disseminate a training methodology at a European level which would contribute to enhance the process of emancipation in the indirect beneficiaries and the possibility of more easily accessing the world of work and integrating with the mobility habits of the respective reference contexts according to a criteria of sustainability, community well-being, and environmental protection.<< Objectives >>The project strengthened the competencies of operators and volunteers in local associations that carry out training activities with people at risk of exclusion through education in the use of ecological means of transport of mobility by applying the learning methodology ""BiciLiberaTutt*. Sustainable mobility and social inclusion"". This project promoted cooperation and collaborative work between the partner associations through the exchange of implementing a common project.<< Implementation >>A1: Creation of a Training Toolkit. The toolkit was created and designed by all the partners to help social operators in the conduction of coaching activities addressed to people with fewer opportunities or to a risk of social exclusion by teaching them how to ride a bike and the importance of sustainable mobility. In the toolkit are presented the Biciliberatutt* methodology, a theoretical context and practical exercises explaining how the bike could be used as a freedom and integration generating toolA2: Training for professionals. 2 days training in Bologna on February 28th and 1st March of 2023 dedicated to Italian and Spanish operators in using formal, non formal and practical methodologies. The program was divided into 3 section: the first was related to SDGs linked to the project, the second held by Salvaiciclisti presented the Biciliberatutt* methodology and was related to learn how to facilitate young people and women at risk of exclusion, especially migrant ones, to introduce and/or consolidate the safe daily use of the bike.<< Results >>R1: At the end of the activity we produced and published the toolkit: “Let’s cycle! The bicycle as a freedom and integration generating tool”. The toolkit was published online, on the institutional pages of the partners involved, and left at the associations that carry out coaching activities.R2: 12 trainers from associations, social cooperatives, and cultural centers in Italy and Spain, who work with migrant young people and women at risk of exclusion, were trained on the practical use of the bicycle to facilitate the daily and safe use of the bike for people at risk of exclusionR3: Thanks to the project’s activities the civil society organizations’ involved in the project have strengthened their experience, knowledge and skills related to the issues addressed by the project. Moreover, an explanation video/tutorial has been created, as integration, not initially foreseen tool of the published toolkit, about bicycle use and on respecting road rules, to be transmitted even after the project and to continue promoting the process of autonomy and social integration connected to mobility."
