<< Background >>The “Art of Inclusion” project was developed in response to the need for more inclusive and creative approaches to engage young people, particularly those with migrant backgrounds, in social and educational activities. Across partner countries, youth with migration experience often face challenges such as social exclusion, language barriers, and limited participation in cultural life. Youth workers also lack accessible and practical tools to foster inclusion through non-formal education. We applied to this project to explore and promote artistic methods—digital photography, storytelling, music, and drama—as powerful tools to support the integration and expression of young migrants. By creating a training guide, facilitating mobilities, and organizing peer-to-peer activities, the project aimed to build capacities of youth workers and empower young people to share their stories, develop skills, and foster intercultural dialogue through art. Finally we wanted to create a network of cooperation between countries of Europe.<< Objectives >>The project aimed to promote social inclusion through the transformative power of art-based methods—particularly among young people with migrant backgrounds. Our primary objective was to empower youth workers and young participants by equipping them with inclusive tools such as digital storytelling, drama, music, and photography. By doing so, we sought to strengthen their creative expression, intercultural dialogue, and social participation. We also aimed to foster mutual understanding and collaboration among youth from different cultural backgrounds through peer-learning activities and mobility-based exchanges. The project intended to reduce discrimination, support the integration of migrants, and raise awareness at the local level about diversity and inclusion using the arts. The creation of a training guide and dissemination materials supported the long-term usability and impact of the project results within youth work.<< Implementation >>The project was implemented through a series of transnational and local activities designed to equip youth workers and young people with inclusive artistic tools. The project began with a Kick-Off Meeting in Turkey to plan and coordinate implementation. Two international training activities followed: the first in Preveza, Greece (October 2024), and the second in Constanta, Romania (April 2025), focusing on digital storytelling, photography, music, and drama for social inclusion. Each international training was followed by peer-to-peer activities in the partners’ countries to disseminate and apply the acquired methods with local youth. A final evaluation and dissemination meeting took place in Krakow, Poland.Additional key outcomes include the development of the project website, social media accounts , a multilingual “Arts of Inclusion” training booklet, and five newsletters. Four informative videos were created on digital photography, digital storytelling, music, and drama. Local youth worker trainings were also conducted in all partner countries to further disseminate the tools and foster sustainable impact.<< Results >>-A multilingual training booklet, “Arts of Inclusion”, presenting innovative non-formal education methods using photography, music, drama, and digital storytelling.-Four short educational videos produced on key methodologies: digital photography, storytelling, music, and drama for inclusion.-A project website www.erasmusartforinclusion.eu developed to ensure open access to resources and project outcomes.-Five newsletters created and shared across all phases of the project to communicate milestones and updates.-Youth worker training sessions held in each partner country, improving capacity in using art-based methods with young people.-Peer-to-peer events organized after both international training sessions to cascade knowledge locally.-Active engagement of young people with migrant backgrounds, providing them platforms to express themselves through art.-Increased visibility through social media, using dedicated Facebook and Instagram accounts to reach a wider audience.-Strengthened transnational cooperation and inclusion practices among partner organizations and youth communities.
