The EUDY Academy project aims to equip deaf youth workers with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to deliver high-quality non-formal education. Deaf youth workers often face barriers in accessing training due to the lack of materials adapted to their linguistic and cultural needs. Existing non-formal education resources, such as the Council of Europe’s COMPASS, are not designed for deaf participants, limiting their professional development opportunities. This project will address these gaps by developing a train-the-trainers program, a handbook with ready-to-use workshops, and an accessible online platform, ensuring that training is available in International Sign and multiple written languages. The project will be implemented through structured work packages. A curriculum will be developed to train deaf youth workers in non-formal education principles, integrating participatory methods. A handbook will provide practical tools, exercises, and guidance on delivering inclusive workshops. The EUDY Academy platform will serve as a central hub for hosting training materials and sharing best practices among youth workers and organizations across Europe.Led by the European Union of the Deaf Youth (EUDY), the project brings together expert partners: Turkoois for training development, Empoway for handbook creation, MUS Studio for digital accessibility, and SDUF for dissemination and sustainability. The project aligns with Erasmus+ priorities by fostering inclusion, lifelong learning, and transnational cooperation, ensuring a long-term impact on deaf youth work across 31 countries.
