<< Background >>We were asked to join the described project from Greek school which was looking for partners. Project was presented to head of school here and we wanted to participate because of the aim of the project about sustainability.which is of highly important and also because of the cultural thing, which is also rather important. The sustainability issue is of hight focus at all participating schools and part of curriculum. But there is a big step from knowing to doing and this project was a possibility to focus on ‘doing’.We value the fokus on developing our students into being global citizens taking care of our world in an eco-friendly way.School found having small group of students to be ambassadors in the project and support spreading work, thoughts and activities in the project is a very good idea.So the needs we addressed were:•Involving students much more in taking care of our planet by acting sustainable in daily household and schools: waste, clothes, electronics, energy, food waste and also find alternative and creative ideas and rethink how to reuse the things, we throw away.•Getting to know each other cross cultural by working and contributing in the same project. •Using English as communicating language.<< Objectives >>1. As school we want to educate students so sustainability become a mindset and part of daily life for each person with focus on refuse, reduce, reuse, and recycle. And it goes for households as well as schools. In both personal and educational settings, it's essential to foster a mindset that values and actively engages in sustainable practices. We believe encouraging awareness, practical initiatives, and collaboration can create a powerful impact in nurturing a more sustainable lifestyle and mindset for eco friendly practise. We hope the project will make students more active taking responsibility for rejecting plastic, reducing waste and energy, reusing things, recycling waste and will help them to rethink according to bad habits and the 'throw away society'.2. We also want our students to be intercultural. Meeting other cultures in school projects means people get to know each other, have empathy. Being open-mindeded and respectful in sharing and experiencing and creating knowledge support human acceptance. For us this is basic for nations existing peacefully and respectfully together.3. Project language is English so also language skills are developed during the project. << Implementation >>Project presentations from studentsProject group meetings Logo competition for studentsKick of meetings planning each Work Package.School visit and mobilities for cultural awareness.Donation day.
